Alex Smith Has Struggled on the Field, But the Kid Sure Has Done a Swell Job Off It
NFL March 12th. 2009, 6:00pm
Alex Smith’s NFL career, in a nutshell: San Francisco’s No. 1 draft pick in 2005. Rookie season was a disaster: one TD, 11 picks. Under a new offensive coordinator in 2006, Smith improved … but then got a third offensive coordinator in 2007 and battled injuries, missing nine games. In 2008 – under a new offensive coordinator, of course – JT O’Sullivan was named the starter in the preseason, and a few weeks later, a broken bone was found in Smith’s shoulder, and he sat out the season. Earlier this week, Smith and the 49ers restructured his contract: Instead of collecting $9 million this season, he’ll make somewhere in the neighborhood of $3-4 million.
The good news? That’s his new wife.

About to devour 2nd quiznos sub in my lifetime.

There is a small hand joke in here somewhere.

2nd time I had Quizno’s I asked them to not toast it for me. They put the sub in the toaster anyway.

I’ve had 1 great sub from Quiznos, and every other one was mediocre for the price…but that one great sub is the one I remember every time I’m in a quiznos.
All in all, I’ll take the cheaper, more consistent subway.

I have Quizno’s often. Get the small sandwich combo with a bowl of chili. Chili’s excellent.

Subway > Jimmy Johns > Quiznos

Togo’s > Subway > ———> Quiznos

Fuck Jared, that fake ass bitch.

I’ve never understood why folks head to Subway or Quiznos unless it’s the only option. In my experience local shops/ regional chains are always the best way to go.

I think Subway, Jimmy John’s and Quizno’s all have their merits. Quizno’s is tough to eat healthy at, but the chili is fantastic. Subway makes it easy to eat healthy, but their shit is overpriced. Jimmy John’s is so fast you’ll freak, but they need an in-between sized sandwich. Nice to see everyone cares so little about Alex Smith that this thread devolved into a sandwich shop evaluation after like three comments.

JJohns is the best…by far the best bread, which is definitely key.

If you’re ever in Tacoma, Mike’s Sandwich Makers is the tits.
March 12th, 2009 at 6:52 pm
Their employees certainly consume more marijuana than any other sub shop.

We have this sandwich discussion 4 times a year.
March 12th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
Talking about subs, because we all realize how great Alex Smith’s life truly is.

What the fuck is a Jimmy John’s

Midwestern sub staple, not sure how wide its breadth is, but it started in Champaign and is mostly in college towns. It’s similar to asking a west coast person what a Dunkin Donuts is, or someone from the south what a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is.

Anyone know where I can vote on some cock?

2 fouls on blair, awesome
that’s all WVU needs. contain young, take over
March 12th, 2009 at 7:14 pm
Yep. I like Potbelly’s too, but only if I’m willing to spend a little too much money on a sandwich. I’m not a huge fan of Quiznos, but it’s in the Texas student union, so I ate there fairly often when I was in a rush and wanted something slightly healthier than Taco Bell or Wendy’s.
March 12th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
i, too, have never heard of Jimmy John’s
i’m not a huge sub guy. dont mind ‘em, but rarely have them.
March 12th, 2009 at 7:20 pm
No one goes to the thursday night game(s)…the real deal starts tomorrow, where people have been sitting in the same section for 30 years.
Honestly, I’d rather goto the ACC tournament than any NCCA round early than the final four.

Schlotzky’s, sho nuff.
March 12th, 2009 at 7:21 pm
Schlotzky’s has down way down hill.
March 12th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
Funny name, serious sandwich.
March 12th, 2009 at 7:56 pm
I’m not a fan of Schlotzky’s at all.

Any New Jersey sub place >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any chain
Also is there a law against pro athletes marrying any woman other than a blonde or a Latina? Damn, Alex.

The one great thing about Jimmy Johns, is they are usually open til a couple hours after the bars close. Go out and drink all night, then go order ‘The Gargantuan’ at Jimmy Johns and go to bed.
/This is NOT a diet plan.
