- Depends on where you’re going to be. In Times Square, Tonic Bar & Grill isn’t bad and there’s always the ESPN Zone. Mickey Mantle’s a little further uptown is pretty good, and the Village Pourhouse by NYU might be a good place to score a drunken, artsy undergrad.

Now if you’re looking for a good sports bar in Chicago during NFL season, I highly recommend Mullen’s in Wrigleyville or The Union in Lincoln Park (full disclosure: both are Colts bars). But the owner of The Union is a hardcore Mich. St. fan, so it’s also good for Big Ten football and basketball.

Yeah, that place can get nuts. One time in college we were in the city for the ICPA awards and ended up there, one of the waitresses got us into the VIP room and these two blondes who looked like the Hilton sisters got up on this table and started spraying everyone with champagne. Who said it was the Big 10’s fault? I’ve been saying all year the RPI is not a good tool to use to determine conference or team strength. Look at Siena, they’ve manipluated it too. To say the Big 10 is the second best conference because of RPI is wrong. They might be but its not because of RPI.

I’ve just gotten back from what I believe is the greatest game I’ve ever seen.
Only I watched it at a bar across from MSG because I decided I wasn’t going to pay $120 for a scalped ticket at 7:30 tonight.
In a way, it makes it even more memorable.
