Ballin’: Almost Playoff Time
NBA April 12th. 2009, 12:00pm
New Jersey 103, Orlando 93: No 2-seed for the Magic. Vince Carter scored 27 and Orlando dropped their second in a row. Dwight Howard scored just 7 points and pulled down only 8 rebounds. Brook Lopez had 13 and 11 and blocked just as many shots (4) as Howard. Hedo Turkoglu sprained his ankle.
Golden State 118, Utah 108: CJ Watson who averaged 8.8 points this season went off for 38. He was perfect (16-16) from the strip. How the hell does CJ Watson shoot 16 free throws? Those are Kobe/D-Wade/LeBron numbers. Watson also had 9 assists and 7 rebounds.
Phoenix 110, Milwaukee 97: Again, everyone on the roster got some burn for the Suns. Everybody scored. Good times were had by all. Mike Miller was a rebound and an assist away from a triple double.
Chicago 113, Charlotte 106: Ben Gordon scored 36 points. Dude hit 7 of 12 from distance. Hoist it!
Portland 87, Los Angeles 72: The most underrated athlete alive, Joe Przybilla, scored 10 and grabbed 14 rebounds. He also blocked a shot. Unfortunately, they don’t keep stats for intimidation.
Indiana 106, Detroit 102: Danny Granger scored 24 points to lead everyone involved. TJ Ford added 18 off the bench.

So is there anyone on this planet that is not drunk with fanboyism that really thinks anyone besides Lakers, Boston or the Cavs are going to win?

poor Orlando. 3rd seed = 2nd round at boston, loss.
Superandy, i’ll take it a step further: Lakers or Cavs? I dont think Boston will be able to take Cleveland. dont even think there’s a debate, really.

Oh I agree with you TBL I got Lakers and Cavs in teh finals too. I just threw Boston in there cause I’m sure some people still think they are good enough to do it again, which they aren’t.

observations on attending cavs-76ers friday …
- the cavs run the pick and roll very, very effectively
- mo williams is a cocky, arrogant fellow
- wally szcerbiak still has “it”
- 76ers coach is an idiot who believes in Willie Green when he should be backing Lou Willims
- if any of Philly’s 4 bigs (
ThabeetDalembert, Speights, Evans, Ratliff) can contribute 15 points in just one playoff game, i’ll be very, very surprisedApril 12th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Am I missing something here?
April 12th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
I think he meant Dalembaret
April 12th, 2009 at 1:28 pm

I don’t qualify since I am drunk with fanboyism (I’m required to do so under contract now). But the Rockets have a pretty good path to at least the Western Finals if they finish with the #2 or 3 seed… could theoretically play New Orleans, then Denver, then hope San Antonio beats the Lakers.
