With Absolutely No Evidence, Some Guy Wonders if Maybe Grant Hill Used HGH
1-liner, NBA April 20th. 2009, 5:30pmGrant Hill: At age 36, he finally played a full season. The budding superstar (Fairfax County represent!) whose career was ruined by numerous ankle surgeries, played the most minutes he had since 2000, his final year with the Pistons. Naturally, this led some guy named Chris Kyle to write this: “I don’t like to think about Grant Hill taking HGH, or whatever else, because he’s always been one of my favorite Blue Devils. I say that because some people might think it’s unfair for me to the raise the performance-enhancing drugs issue with a guy like Hill. I don’t know. But I do know that my friends and I sit around and talk about stuff like this.” Who are his friends, UNC fans? Miguel Tejada? Brian Roberts? Jose Canseco? We’d be surprised if Grant Hill had so much as a parking ticket. He probably has fewer technical fouls in his career than Rasheed Wallace had last season. We’re all irresponsible from time-to-time on the web, but this seems egregious. Yeah, we feel dirty linking to it. We’re off to the shower. (Boooooooo)

Obviously HGH. It’s not like the Suns have the best training staff in the game that has had similar success with many players or anything like that…

And he sucks now, so honestly who really cares?

Let’s see, Hill has had six ankle surgeries, a staph infection that nearly killed him and put him on IV antibiotics for six months, then another surgery to repair the sports hernia caused by the funny running style he developed after the aforementioned six ankle surgeries + deadly infection. Now he’s finally recovered so…he must be on HGH.

I hate the recent sportwriter trend of saying, “I can’t say with 100% certainty that this guy isn’t on PEDs. Therefore, he must be under suspicion of using PEDs.” No, that’s BS. Lack of certainty and cause for suspicion are two completely different things. If you don’t have any evidence, other than a statistical anomaly (real or perceived), then you need to STFU.

If so, he would be taking more than Kobe.

tbl: I could really care less about Grant Hill, but for this assclown to write that, the Huffington Post to publish it, and you to link to it are all fucked up. This is why Buzz Bissinger goes on rants
Here is that ass’s bio from HuffPost…
Chris Kyle is a writer who lives in Santa Monica with his fiancee and their imaginary dog.
I have more witing credentials than him, if that’s what he’s proud of.
Also, whenever I hear that dipshit Arianna Huffington on Larry King or MSNBC, I hear the theme from Green Acres in my head and “Eva Gabor calling “Olivah!”

29 techs in his career, 1 flagrant, 1 ejection in 14 years
‘Sheed had 19 this year, so almost, but not quite. However, Wallace does have 296 techs in 14 years, which is pretty damn impressive.
