Detroit Pistons Trade Speculation
1-liner, NBA April 29th. 2009, 2:00pmDetonating the Pistons: “A few league sources whom I respect have said that the Hornets may try to take advantage of Detroit’s possible housecleaning this off-season, with their eyes focused on Richard Hamilton or Tayshaun Prince (or both). West could be part of one of those deals, but it’s all speculation at this point. Still, you can’t help but wonder if it’s time to start over in New Orleans. That’s pretty sad when you think about how close the Hornets were to contending last year.” (Pro Basketball News)

Dumars will only trade 1 or both of them if he can get someone who can play on the block or can shoot lights out and slash.

So winning one playoff series in 5 years makes you a contender now? Many average teams rejoice at such a revelation.

Wonder if they dump Scott. He seems to really wear on teams. 2 finals with New Jersey and they couldn’t wait to get him out of town.

No. Winning the ultracompetitive Southwest, getting the 2 seed in the West, and only having to beat the Spurs one more fricking time at home made them contenders.

Hamilton or Prince will do them no good when CP3 is with the Mavs.

So New Orleans was supposed to have a firesale, but now they’re going to step in and “steal” Richard Hamilton and his abortion of a contract out from under Joe Dumars?
If only he could be so lucky.

That quote would upset me if the Hornets wasn’t already dead.

Why would they want CP3, they already have Kidd, the best PG in the game.

I suspect that one of those only-in-the-NBA trades like David West for Adam Morrison is in the works.
