Did anyone else link this story yet? I’m not a real Hollinger fan, but I think he makes a few valid points.

The address sticker on the magazine is classic.

No arguments on 1st team.
I would take the 3rd team forwards over the 2nd team forwards, based on this year. For the first time, the Spurs were Parker’s team, not Duncan’s. Pierce was worthy of a spot in the 15, but Gasol and Melo were better, period.
I would move Paul to 3rd team with either Billups or Parker in front of him. I’d call that a tossup on those 3. Nothing wrong with any of them. Denver became better because of Billups, Spurs won this year because of Parker. They both had better seasons that the Hornets.
Good call on B Roy, who had a GREAT year. The Diesel gets 3rd C by default.

No Chris Paul on first team is a joke of the highest order.

An OK article. However, the Magic screwed up by not getting DHO touches late. It doesn’t mean shots, but means moving the ball in and out. Defenses break down when he has the ball in the post, whether he is a true threat or not. It makes the defense work harder, which in turn gets the offense better looks. When they went cold, the ball needed to go inside at least a couple of times.
That’s why I like statistics as a part of analysis, but not as the end all, be all. Watching that game last night, Orlando didn’t get good shots because they rushed stuff and didn’t try to go to DHo at all…

I’d also put Paul on the 1st team. Paul did more with less than Kobe or Wade. Trouble is, which one do you move?

Dirk played as well as anybody in the league. Dallas’s 2nd best player (howard) missed a lot of time, and they’re running the whole thing through him. He’s great. I hope he gets traded, so he can win somewhere as a second banana, or that they get Chris Paul in the upcoming hornets fire sale.

the second team would beat the first team.

No paul on first team is a joke.
Please explain…
Future hall of famer laughs at how you ranks players.. Also KG (teams best player) missed a lot of time too and that Boston team did like 12 wins better than dallas. Ray Allen or Rondo should the third team guard.
