JaMarcus Russell Bustwatch Continues
1-liner, NFL May 15th. 2009, 1:00pmJaMarcus Russell: “The Raiders brought in a new quarterbacks coach (Paul Hackett), a new passing game coordinator (Ted Tollner) and hired wideout and tight end coaches who’ve never been lead position coaches in the NFL.” There’s also a raw rookie WR (DHB), and an experienced backup QB who has won at all of his NFL stops. Russell’s going to have a difficult time shedding that bust label this season. (SI)

That was last year. He’s at a pretty svelte 275-280 right now, I’m sure of it.

Queue Jeff Garcia already …so many Garcia haters out there you know? Why? And don’t start with that BS about him being either.
Only last year in Philly did McNabb show he had the edge to have stayed as QB as the correct decision, and hell the Eagles led by Garcia were robbed by the refs against New Orleans in the playoffs for the 2006 season for the sake of the continuing Katrina pity party and Drew Brees lovin’.
Garcia will run the West Coast offense as solid as he always has but of course needs solid protection and a decent defense with the latter a long time coming in Oakland too.
