Royals 6, Tigers 1: Zack Greinke pitched his fifth complete game of the season, upping his record to 8-1. Through 10 starts, his stats remain simply absurd, but the Halladay groupies will argue that six of Greinke’s wins have come against the mediocre central. Commence inspiring sports roundtable.

Twins 5, Red Sox 2: Justin Morneau’s three-run shot off Jon Lester in the fifth was the difference. He has 11 RBI in his last five games. Big Papi was dropped to sixth in the batting order. This storyline might, might eventually go from hilarious to sad, even for me.

Dodgers 7, Rockies 1: The Dodgers continue to win without Manny. Seriously, Eric Milton? I’m guessing one more week until Jeremy Schaap sits down with Joe Torre for a wild discussion on his secret sauce to success.

Giants 4, Braves 0: Tim Lincecum threw eight shutout innings of five-hit ball. He looks like a witch.

Mets 6, Nats 1: Ryan Church is on the DL, Reyes is on the DL and Beltran is out until the weekend, but they got 127 pitches, nine scattered hits and a complete game from Livan Hernandez. Sheff helped pick up the slack on offense as he angrily drove in three runs.

Orioles 7, Blue Jays 2: That’s eight straight losses for the evaporating Blue Jays.

Phils 5, Marlins 3: Joe Blanton went seven and fanned 11, and in an ironic twist, Brad Lidge came on in the ninth to clean up a mess rather than create one.

White Sox 4, Angels 2: Bartolo Colón? You bet your ass, Bartolo Colón. He went 6 2/3 and allowed just one run.

Cards 8, Brewers 1: Adam Wainwright homered off Suppan. That’s all you need to know.

A’s 4, Mariners 3: Jarrod Washburn’s six shutout innings were wasted as the A’s scored four in the seventh, going ahead on a two-run single from Jason Giambi. If I see one comment about this game, I will be floored.

Indians 5, Rays 1: Even if I were to tell you that Jake Taylor drove home from the game in a bullpen car and that Kenny Lofton came on in the ninth to record his first career save last night, it’s safe to say no one in Cleveland would even care today; or notice.

Can’t argue with Billy Martin here, that hit and run action looks pretty addictive:
