He Doesn’t Ask the Teflon Playmaker to Pee in a Cup. But Reilly Calls for Irvin’s Head

Just when you thought the Michael Irvin-Tony Romo controversy had subsided, iconic columnist Rick Reilly of Sports Illustrated brings it back to the forefront.
In something called ‘Riffs of Reilly,’ the scribe shouts, “This is about the 1303rd stupid thing Irvin has said lately. In the name of Jimmy ‘The Greek’ fire this moron!”
Of course Pro Football talk is all over this, and here’s the kicker: They surmise that the next time the Pipemaker screws up at the network, it will be his last in Bristol. Interesting. These guys have impeccable NFL sources.
The regular season only has four games left. Perhaps Steve Young can goad Irvin into making a foolish comment about Mike Vick? No, no no … Jeremy Shockey. That should set off the Pipemaker. Maybe Irvin thinks Trent Green’s skills are so sick that one of his relatives ‘pulled one of them studs up outta the barn.’

What Irvin said was actually a lot worse than what the Greek said.
Greek never called anyone’s great-great-great-great Grandma a slut who slept with her slaves.
Irvin should have gotten canned, but the wagons circled…
