Ballin’: Cleveland Forces Game Six, Skip Bayless Tweets
NBA, Video May 29th. 2009, 9:15am
Cleveland 112-102 Orlando: LeBron James took over Game Five with 37 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. This obviously was decisive, because “Prince James†has been slacking so far, only averaging 41 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the series.
Mo Williams and Daniel Gibson shooting a combined 9 for 13 from three-point range probably contributed to Cleveland’s success.
Skip Bayless was in prime form as well. Someone at First Take apparently set up his twitter. He tweeted twenty-three times during last night’s game, managing to take a shot at “Prince James†in nine of them. If that’s not real, it is the best fake twitter job ever.
Did Cleveland delay the inevitable or will they come back and win?

Great AND1 exhibition last night in the 4th quarter.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:19 am
LeBron is getting Wilt Chamberlain number of attempts from the free throw line every night in this series. He had a great game, Orlando struggled from the free throw line and they still struggled to win. The inevitable was delayed.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:21 am
They def delayed the inevitable last night because that almost turned into the choke job to end all choke jobs… Cle is gonna need twice as hard as they did last night to get a win tomorrow
May 29th, 2009 at 9:22 am
Dwight needs to watch those elbows, they are borderline dirty and he’s gonna kill someone.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:23 am
and I was dead wrong with the refs yesterday…. 41 ftas for Orl, 34 for Cle
May 29th, 2009 at 9:30 am
cavs are winning game 6…lebron is gonna put a performance up so ridiculous that it inspires tiger to get up from his courtside seats and bashes SVG’s balls in with a 3-iron.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:30 am
Daniel Gibson is pretty gay.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:32 am
Daniel Gibson is pretty Sergio Garcia
/fixed for Spencer
May 29th, 2009 at 9:33 am
For a minute I thought CLE was going to blow another huge lead. I still like the Magic, but if game 5 100-0 in terms of pressure on Cle compared to Orlando, it is now 60-40 in my opinion. There is still more pressure on CLE, but Orlando will feel it too.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:34 am
41 ftas for Orl, 34 for Cle
Just too many fouls in general during the playoffs. I was flipping back and forth with the O’s/Tigers game and, at times, the baseball game seemed to be more fast-paced than the basketball game.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:34 am
I might cry for you if it doesn’t happen Spence. I was scared shitless last night when Cle went on that run and u disappeared from the comments.

boobie is pretty gay.
you’re a hooker jpq.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:36 am
Keep holding out Spencer, but if you think Gibson is going to hit 3-4 threes in Orlando you are mistaken.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:36 am
i didn’t think the officiating was bad though. it was called evenly, even if there were a lot of fouls. had the game come down to the last minute and there were calls, then I think people would be bitching more.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:39 am
I’m just waiting for the Skip Bayless and Carrot Top steroid scandal to break.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:39 am
Agreed, Orlando has (wait for it) proven they are the BETTER team by far in this series, but they have gone downn on big leads, AT HOME, way too much in these here playoffs. Tomorrow is not the time for that shit. Even irish has to agree, they do not want to go back to Cle this postseason.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:40 am
Yeah but Raefer Alston finally came back down to earth yesterday, its time for the Peitris to join him.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:42 am
who gives a shit about boobie gibson?
May 29th, 2009 at 9:44 am
TNT, because each time he is on the court, all they do is bring up game 6 against Detroit.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:45 am
Reggie Miller sucks
May 29th, 2009 at 9:45 am
I agree – the portions of the game I watched were well officiated (omitting the fact that they ignore all traveling violations). The only thing I wish is that T’ed everyone who bitches about every perceived non-call. After about 3 or 4 t’s the players would finally shut up and start playing.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:45 am
something we can agree on.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:46 am
boobie is pretty gay.

No, I’m a pimp

taylor swift is fugly and cant sing.
watching today’s show
May 29th, 2009 at 9:48 am
I was surprised that Orlando kept letting Lebron go one on one during the end of the 4th quarter.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:49 am
I love “Our Song”, gets all the white girls to start dancing.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:49 am
Orlando has scored 2 more points in this series. In five games. This series could not be tighter. So to say they are better BY FAR is a pretty gigantic reach.
@irish: I didn’t even watch the game, but agreed on Reggie. He’s proven to be hardheaded and terrible. He has to be an inside joke amongst real broadcaster and analysts.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:50 am
Well, without his 3’s last night CLE is out fishing today.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:51 am
I think Swift has potential. She needs to add a couple lbs, specifically in the ass and chest area.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:51 am
i get sick of continuation plays where the guy gets to travel after he gets bumped to finish the play off. Ilgauskas had one last night, Turkoglu had at least one, and James had his customary several.
The refs, who aren’t looking to call traveling anyway, really let it go once there’s been a bump.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:51 am
Agreed. Make the scrubs that CLE has beat you, not the best player in the game.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:52 am
@Nick- I put the TV on mute and listened to your boy Matty Goukas
May 29th, 2009 at 9:52 am
@Jersey: If they go back for a game 7, the Magic lose by at least 20 points.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:53 am
There’s something up with the hair too. When she was on CSI she had a bunch of different wigs with varying hair colors and she looked much better
May 29th, 2009 at 9:55 am
meh.
this series is too close to have all those “what if” scenarios mean anything. orlando has a few of those that would’ve meant they lost games 1 or 4 so they’re not really important. as long as the big guns keep showing up (im looking at you mo) any little ancillary contribution from a dude getting 7 minutes per game isn’t in the big picture.
i find it hard to get worked up over boobie, that’s all. and we all know he isn’t showing up in orlando.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:55 am
at least 20 Hernia? wow
May 29th, 2009 at 9:56 am
Orlando -1.5 on Saturday.. jumping all over that.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:57 am
the worst of those was on mikael pietrus…dude takes 2 steps to get into the lane, gets fouled, takes ANOTHER 2 steps and banks in a runner and gets the bucket and one.
it’s been pretty bad on the officiating side against both teams this series.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:00 am
stern doesnt give a flying fuck how bad the refs are because this shit has been going on for at least a decade if i remember correctly.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:01 am
@irish: After losing a 3-1 lead and with LeBron knowing he’s just a win from the Finals, it would be one of those ugly game 7 blowouts.
But I don’t see it going to 7.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:01 am
seems like a decade..

Nice use of quotes douchebag
May 29th, 2009 at 10:02 am
It has been a really good series to watch though despite the shitty ass officiating. I knew Dwight was fouling out last night.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:03 am
Michael Pietrus defensive effectiveness wasn’t there last night, which is no surprise because he finally got called for the bear hugs he’d been doing all series long.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:11 am
I’m going by what I see in the games, Orlando has come back at will to win 2 games and if it weren;t for a very lucky shot, this series is over. LeBron playing OUT OF HIS MIND is the only thing keeping them in this series. My god, the man is averaging 41 points a game for this series, and they have only won 2 games. Orlando is a better team.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:12 am
Nicely done-
May 29th, 2009 at 10:21 am
Series over. Orlando is too good to lose game 6 at home, and the Cavs supporting cast is too shitty to win against Orlando on the road. For this series, 4 out of the 5 Cavs starters have been outplayed (hurts to say Alston is outplaying Williams… but it is not close). Orlando by 15 tomorrow.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:22 am
Michael Pietrus defensive effectiveness wasn’t there last night, which is no surprise because he finally got called for the bear hugs he’d been doing all series long.
Lebron also took the bait less. He didn’t give in and shoot the 29 footer nearly as much has he has been.
One play I really, really liked last night was when somebody else was on Lebron. He drove the lane, got inside the FT line and stopped with his dribble, and waited for Howard to have to move forward, then put the ball right on the hands of AV. AV dropped it, but the play looked good.
If I were Cleveland, I’d build on that one. Drawing Howard forward, just one step.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:24 am
Absolutely and completely false.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:25 am
Orlando by 15 tomorrow
that would be nice

and I cant post links for shit, so Il try it again
May 29th, 2009 at 10:32 am
and fail again. fuck it.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:32 am
Not for me Irish – but watching the 2 teams play has led me to the sad realization that Orlando is a significantly better team than the Cavs. And Howard is a beast (haven’t seen too much of him this year). Way, way too strong for anyone on Cleveland to guard him (except maybe Lebron).
May 29th, 2009 at 10:34 am
Maybe I’m petty, maybe I have something against guys that look like assholes, but nothing will make me happier than the day that AV is gonna have to play basketball without LeBron. Cut your hair hippie
May 29th, 2009 at 10:38 am
I guess everyone heard on the telecast (couldn’t miss it), but 32 straight points LeBron either scored or assisted on, almost the entire 4th quarter…are you fucking kidding me.
But Kobe is a coach out there!
/delusional laker fan
May 29th, 2009 at 10:42 am
Typical coop, the first one to try to make this a LeBron v. Kobe debate.
Why can’t you just appreciate LeBron for who he is?
May 29th, 2009 at 10:47 am
With Kobe that would have been called ball hogging no matter what the result. With LeBron it’s called taking over, no matter what the result.
Low Self Esteem, little brother conflict carrying LeBron fans
May 29th, 2009 at 10:51 am
I wasn’t turning anything into anything, just taking a jab at laker fans who were on here yesterday saying they saw Kobe call a play, so Kobe > Red Auerbach. They’ve realized LeBron has passed him physically, so now Kobe has the mental edge, smarter and a “fierce competitor”, ha.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:55 am
And I say that knowing full well that at this very moment Kobe’s chances of a title this year are much better than LeBron’s.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:58 am
Skip Bayless is a choad
May 29th, 2009 at 11:56 am
Has this arbitrary stat been discussed yet?
Cavs win when Lebron doesn’t score over 40.
