Video: Finally, Someone Shuts Terrell Owens Up
Television, Video June 16th. 2009, 3:00pmThis clip comes from the show Superstars, and you’ll see model Joanna Krupa kinda sorta yell at Terrell Owens for something or the other, and he responds with … silence. You taking notes, Trent Edwards? If this show (debut next week!) wants to be successful, two words: Arthur Lange.

artie lange is the key to success? yeah that howard stern wasnt shit until lange’s untalented ass got put on that show. lange is awful i wish he would od already.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:07 pm
TO > all the J-E-T-S WRs
Sanchez is overpaid too
June 16th, 2009 at 3:10 pm
I would do terrible things to Joanna Krupa.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:11 pm
If the show is really called Superstars then by rule of Webster’s dictionary Artie Lange can’t be a participant.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:11 pm
TO > this bitch who i would let fellate me if the opportunity arose, and afterwards would thank god with community service and a bakers dozen hail mary’s
June 16th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Artie is fine. He’s not the funniest human on the planet or anything, the problem with last night’s appearance, is that for that know his schtick, it kind of gets old. It’s not like he had any really great material last night. He just was saying “shocking” things. Honestly, Bill Maher’s show is better if you want to hear someone curse, and you’ll get some good dialogue as well.
Enough with the Artie hard on already. If this continues, I’m telling the 20 Opie and Anthony fans left on the planet to start spamming your site!
June 16th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
I guess if you like that gorgeous, blond, tan, pouty lip, huge breasts look she’s ok.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
Here’s a sneak preview of TBL’s next post.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:17 pm
+1 irish
TO needs to introduce her to Dirty Sanchez (and not the one on here). I was on the Bills site last night and I also talked to some people up there w/ the organization and he has been a beast in practice and OTA’s. I know it’s not pads, but he has been looking good and making everyone else step their game up.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
What exactly happened that led up to that point?
June 16th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
are you surprised?
TO is always a beast. he’s one of the best WR’s in NFL history and, if not for all the “team cancer” bullshit, a sure-fire hall of famer.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:20 pm
She needs bigger traps.
/A-Rod
June 16th, 2009 at 3:21 pm
Hes clean! For now…
I’m assuming the Lange mention in this post is hyperbole? Otherwise TBL has gone off the deep end today.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
awwww look jpq sounds like every fan of every team t.o. has been on for the first 5 months. old people are so cute.
/helps feed jpg his tapioca pudding
June 16th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
Honestly, Bill Maher’s show is better if you want to hear someone curse, and you’ll get some good dialogue as well.
cursed: man, your taste in comedians blows. That guy says something (usually not funny), then does his dramatic pause to cue his audience of lemmings to scream and applaud wildly.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
Jay - Artie with hat. That was perfect.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
Lange is really talented and funny, as evidenced by his movies grossing tens of hundreds of dollars.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:26 pm
yeah it is everyone else’s fault. he is a surefire hof’er anyway his stats says he is. he may not get in on the first ballot(which is a shame) but he will get in. if we kept out every asshole out of the hall of fame then there wouldnt be alot of players in there
June 16th, 2009 at 3:27 pm
mrejr: after you get done w/ the feeding, you can wipe my ass
June 16th, 2009 at 3:27 pm
Lange is really fat and drunk, as evidenced by looking at him.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:28 pm
who cares when he makes 80-100K per stand-up appearance.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:30 pm
jpq: wallowing in a little poop never hurt anyone
June 16th, 2009 at 3:30 pm
Two problems…one, the team cancer isn’t bullshit. He’s clearly had a destructive effect on every team he’s been on so far. Two, he’s a fucking pussy when it comes to going over the middle…alligator arms so many passes it’s not funny.
Great wide receiver, but his antics should rightly keep him out of the hall of fame, because it negatively affected his teams. I normally don’t care about most the bullshit sports writers opine about, but every team TO’s been on has gone sour due to his bullshit.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
fail
June 16th, 2009 at 3:32 pm
TO better produce this year. That is all i know
GO BILLS!!
circle the wagons
June 16th, 2009 at 3:34 pm
and also one of the greatest catches in NFL history…the one against the packers in the NFC champ game.
still not buying it.
PRO athletes. you get big money…you can deal with an asshole. if he quit on the field, that’s a different story, but if the worst thing you can say about his on-field performance is that he was a little hesitant to go over the middle, then that’s not so bad is it? even when he was openly bitching with mcnabb, he was still productive on the field and did his job.
if randy moss gets in, there’s no reason TO shouldn’t. AT ALL.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:35 pm
I mean, there’s nothing more subjective than comedians, unless you want to argue about favorite colors (Magenta kicks all ass, nuff said)
My list of funny people: Nick DiPaulo, Louis CK, Colin Quinn, Bill Maher, Greg Giraldo, Artie Lang, Jim Norton, Demetri Martin, Rich Vos, Bill Burr, Brian Regan, Anthony Cumia.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:37 pm
I was just watching NFL-N’s Top Ten Pass Rushers, and they were talking about Mark Gastineau. They talked about how he’s the best pass-rushing d-lineman of his era and he’s not getting in the Hall of Fame because he was a shameless self-promoting prick.
If they can keep Gastineau out, they can keep T.O. out.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:38 pm
I say we get to about week 11 before TO starts going off the rails.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
Like most of them Cursed, only one I really don’t care for is Martin, mostly because it seems like his act is just like Mitch Hedberg’s. I’m sure someone smarter than me could say that Mitch’s is just like some other “literal” comedian though.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
if randy moss gets in, there’s no reason TO shouldn’t. AT ALL.
agree 100%
I think TO has had a better career than Moss, especially in light of the unreal natural ability Moss has. Moss had 3-4 unbelievable years in Minny, then he started coasting and they dumped him to Oakland, where he was pedestrian at best.
w/ the Pats, his first 10 games were probably the most productive 10 games ever for a WR in NFL history. Since then, not so much (I know he didn’t have Brady last year).
TO is an ass, but he has produced everywhere he has gone.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:40 pm
you know who is really funny? kenny mayne.

My list of funny people: Nick DiPaulo, Louis CK, Colin Quinn, Bill Maher, Greg Giraldo, Artie Lang, Jim Norton, Demetri Martin, Rich Vos, Bill Burr, Brian Regan, Anthony Cumia
you left Lisa Lampenelli off your list
June 16th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
you know who is really funny? kenny mayneJust watched the most recent Mayne street or whatever it’s called on ESPN. I think it’s fine, but seriously, they might as well rename the show Curbed your Enthusiasm. It’s the same exact thing. Honestly, with Scoop running off with the nonsensical music in the background potted up, with the uncomfortable racism angle. I was expected the credits to read “executive producer, Larry David”
June 16th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
you know who is really funny? kenny mayne.
Maher, Buck and Mayne should put on a smug-a-thon for charity

I know he has said this, but I refuse to believe it.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:46 pm
cursed if that list came from anyone else I would assume they were joking
June 16th, 2009 at 3:48 pm
I can, practically all the people who go to the shows are Stern fans so he can sell out a nice sized arena. Don’t forget his book was on the NYT best sellers list for like 6 weeks, and the paperback is debuting there again. Of course it will be very interesting to see if he can amount to anything once Stern leaves at the end of next year.

And Carrot Top
June 16th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
@cursed
we’re talking about a guy that deliberately fostered divisions within the lockerroom, constantly berated his teammates in the press, and generally created havoc within an organization. This isn’t your run of the mill asshole, he created real damage. I’m not denying his talent, but in the end, if a player has caused severe problems that affected play on the field in every team he’s been a part of, there’s a legit reason to deny him a hall of fame spot, especially with the number of really great WR’s that will be coming up for election in the near future. He’s good for one year, then he explodes. Put it this way…who would the average NFL’er rather have on his team, TO or Steve Smith? The majority would rather have the guy that sucker punched a teammate…that’s fucking sad.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:52 pm
tallguy t.o. is a hall of famer so just stop.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:56 pm
It’s hard for receivers to make the HOF as it is, so T.O. won’t make it on his first try despite the numbers he put up. I think he is, but remember, all Hall of Fames’ are nothing but popularity contests. If enough people don’t “like” him, he may never make it.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
and don’t forget carlos mencia!
He’s good for one year, then he explodes
@tallguy: exactly why i love the Bills getting him. He probably can’t believe he’s in Buffalo, so he’s gonna be a beast to get the hell out of there.
For NickP from the Marshall post earlier: THIS is the perfect one year wonder WR in a contract year (I hope): $6.5 million for one year, no traded picks to get him, and he’s hungry to get the hell out of town.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:59 pm
I hear most of those guys mention on the radio interacting without scripts. When DiPaulo comes on O&A, he absolutely kills and it’s all off the top of his head. That shit impresses me much more than contrived story telling. I also think Jim Norton is still quicker than anyone else. Watch his appearance on Leno when he’s sitting next to Miley Cyrus and making perverted comments and doing it about her right next to her.
Norton and Artie Lang are very good friends by the way, and were featured together a few months ago in an arena..still waiting for that audio to get out
By the way, not a big fan of Jim Florentine. And has anyone heard of Anthony Jeselnik. He’s kind of new and was on Norton’s HBO series. Very funny.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:59 pm
SO FUCKING WHAT!?!?!?!?!? you get paid MILLIONS per year…ignore one loudmouth and do your fucking job like a fucking big boy.
dude is going to go down as no. 2 in every major category behind jerry rice. he was the prototype for today’s massive, fast WR that perfectly fits the widespread adoption of west coast philosophies.
and not a single one of those WR’s up for enshrinement outside of moss and marvin harrison can hold a candle to TO.
when did TO punch a teammate in the eye and break his orbital bone? and what has steve smith exactly DONE since that one ridiculous playoff run a few years ago? had a couple of nice seasons? missed one entirely? great. i’ll take a decade and half of TO over 5 years of mighty mouse.
/smith is great, don’t get me wrong
again…PROFESSIONAL sports are different than amateur sports (even college, whcih is hardly amateur anymore). do your fucking job, everything else is ancillary.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
so perverted comments about/to a minor = comedic genius?
June 16th, 2009 at 4:03 pm
Watch his appearance on Leno when he’s sitting next to Miley Cyrus and making perverted comments and doing it about her right next to her.
I do that with my 14 year old daughter every day. She’s so dumb she never catches on. It’s hilarious!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Nothing’s funnier than comments about a young girl right in front of her. He’s at the top of my list now!!!!!!
June 16th, 2009 at 4:03 pm
feel that summer love!
the natives are restless today …
June 16th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
oh…and one more thing.
the NFL HoF voters are told to ignore off the field stuff. on the field, it’s almost inarguable that TO has few peers.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
@cursed I was at the show with Lange and Norton in Upper Darby and I totally agree with you. Norton was 100 times funnier and much more topical. Lange was doing Katrina jokes and shit on the 2007 super bowl.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:07 pm
JPQ, when you break everything down to it’s core, nothing is funny. Comedy is the easiest art to knock the legs out from underneath. So who exactly do you guys think is funny? Honestly? It’s easy to attack something you haven’t seen or heard, I get that. But give me some ammunition to rip on your favorite colors. It’s a pretty easy thing to do.
Are you guys just Howard Stern fans who refuse to admit that any other form of radio can possibly be entertaining or funny? Do you think he has the market cornered. Understand that half of Opie and Anthony’s audience are former Stern fans. As shows evolve, you devolop a new vibe. I’m a former Stern guy who left about 8 years ago for O&A and havne’t looked back.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:11 pm
spencer chris carter still isnt in the HOF. You dont think his off the field stuff play a factor?
June 16th, 2009 at 4:14 pm
i’m a dont think people just saying shocking things to get a laugh or a rise out people are very talented but can be funny for about 30 minutes .howard stern and o & a are just saying shocking things and doing shocking things because they are too dumb to come up with anything entertaining and they are rich and famous because they pander to the lowest common denominator
June 16th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
duder…i thought he got in this year.
no, i think it’s because a) his stats were inflated, b) he was great, but never the best WR during any period during his career and c) he didn’t have a signature moment in the playoffs (not entirely his fault).
TO’s stats are authentic because he was almost always the best WR on the field. TO has been either 1 or 1a for almost a decade now. and between his catch against the packers in the NFC champ game and his super bowl performance with the eagles on a sketchy leg, he’s got those things too.
it’s hall of FAME, not hall of being liked by teammates.
if the voters keep him out, it’s a fucking crime.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:17 pm
@cursed: I’m not even going to go into it, because (if there aren’t already coming) it will go down to “old comedian jokes”. All I will say is part of the problem with a lot of the names you mention is that many of them struggle to be funny without it degenerating in terms of language or content. It, to me, is the easy way out.
A guy like Carlin could say anything in a club (ie 7 Dirty Words), but also be funny without saying them. A lot of them today can’t.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
agree mrejr. Carter was behind Rice so its tough to say that. but yeah TO is a beast.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
See, you’re just taking the incidents that you’ve heard about and you’re assuming it’s the entire five hours of show. Stern and O&A did shocking things to get on the map. If you listen to the shows now, they’re really none of that, they’ve got away from those types of bits for the most part b/c with the internet age, nobody cares anymore.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:21 pm
also tim brown and michael irvin.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:23 pm
i have heard some stern and nowadays it is him just being a whiney douchebag who bringsup fartman and talks about how his so boring and just stays home while his younger wife is wanting to do all this fun stuff. yeah what a talent.
June 16th, 2009 at 4:27 pm
Stern blows nowadays he got lazy and isn’t edgy at all - the dude talks about dancing with the starts and has his wife on every other day to talk about some charity run she is doing
June 17th, 2009 at 1:20 am
Bingo again Mrejr/Brock! +2 …with media fragmentation since about 2000, they have gotten more desperate and lower than the previous lowest common denominator …Stern had it going well …until that hyped-up lame-ass movie.
June 17th, 2009 at 1:23 am
T.O. on a reality show …lame …anyone else just want to see him play well again …it probably won’t happen though as going on TV for a show whilst still in the league just means you jumped the shark as did Jason Taylor.
