You Will Not See Jordan Crawford’s Nasty Two-Handed Dunk on LeBron James*
College Basketball, NBA, NIKE July 8th. 2009, 9:00am
As Cleveland burns - or rather, as free agents shun the Cavaliers because No. 23’s going to be in a Knicks’ jersey in 2010 - LeBron James is hosting a basketball workshop of sorts in conjunction with NIKE. According to Gary Parrish of CBS Sports, Xavier’s Jordan Crawford (he played a season at Indiana before transferring after the Kelvin Sampson mess) dunked hard - with both hands - on LeBron during a pickup game. It sounds like the kind of jam that would dwarf Courtney Lee’s facial (see below) on King James in the playoffs. Too bad you’ll never see Crawford’s flush. NIKE confiscated the the footage shot by two cameramen.
“He just said, ‘We have to take your tape,’” [photographer] Miller said. “They took it from other guys, too … LeBron called Lynn over and told him something,” Miller said. “That’s how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, ‘Hey, Lynn. Come here.’” Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape.
“There’s nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online,” Miller said. “It’s a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I’m kind of pissed. I lost my tape.”
Rough six weeks for the best player in basketball. Stunned in the playoffs by Orlando. Storms off the court without shaking hands and is blistered in the media. There was this rumored radio incident. His Cavs acquired Shaq, but no other free agents seems to have the slightest interest in going to Cleveland. And then there’s the Ariza story, which we’ll get to later.
This dunk cover-up, of course, will pale in comparison to the number of folks who call him Benedict Arnold when he sinks the franchise next July to play in Gotham.
Nike does not want you to see that dunk (CBS Sports)
* A few posters here have found two players to dunk on LeBron besides C Lee: former USC star and current Wizards reserve Nick Young …
.. and at the 1 min mark, former Utah Ute Britton Johnsen in LeBron’s first pro summer league game.

im sure it was epic

They’ll probably come out with a press release saying Lebron needed to take all the footage so they could use it in a puppet commercial.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:05 am
on pussy & fat shit they were saying the nba salary cap is going down in 2010 and that will cause a lot of free agents to stay with their teams including lebron. The knicks wont have enough room for 2 superstars and thats why he will stick with the better team in cleveland
July 8th, 2009 at 9:07 am
Check his stats.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:07 am
I’m going to miss rookie sensation C Lee
July 8th, 2009 at 9:11 am
my buddy caught it on his camera phone. pretty sick.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:13 am
Same thing happened when former President Nixon got dunked on. We all know how that turned out.

Two LeBron-NY jabs per 100 words…
July 8th, 2009 at 9:16 am
The names we come up with for those two is fucking amazing. I caught a clip of their “80s show” yesterday on sportscenter and smiled because I am so happy to give up on their show.
LeBron is becoming more of a pussy everyday. I’ve never turned on a player more quickly

What - he’s playing for the Bulls?

hes reminding me of favre. Hes holding cleveland hostage by not signing that god damn extension. He goes out of his way to basically say ariza is a liar. If cleveland wouldnt sink into the lake, i say they should demand he sign an extension or trade his ass

Prediction: Lebron is going to be stupid enough to live up to his retarded big mouth trash talk about entering the dunk contest this year, because Nike won’t let him back out of it, and blows out both his knees trying to upstage Dwight Howard. Career: over.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:26 am
He’s worried it will affect his negotiating leverage with the Knicks.
July 8th, 2009 at 9:27 am
During the series with the Hawks, Josh Smith stuffed LeBron big time and then came down to the other end and threw down a sick dunk and TNT didn’t show one replay of it. Everyone tries to protect King James.

I really am starting to not like the guy… but what do I do if he does become a Knick?
July 8th, 2009 at 9:27 am
i hope he goes to NY to win 45 games a year so people will turn on him.
/he never did anything to me personally but i cant stand the guy.

updated by adding a couple videos

Theres a 0% chance he goes to the dumpster fire that is the Knicks. At least say the Nets so you dont look like complete tools.

If I can’t see it, it’s not real.

If they know for sure that he will leave do you think they would even trade him? How bad would their record have to be at the break for a trade to happen?
July 8th, 2009 at 9:34 am
Who still uses video tape?
July 8th, 2009 at 9:36 am
never seen the term “dunked on” used so loosely. are we sure that LeBron was even in the building?
July 8th, 2009 at 9:38 am
I am still waiting for the tape to surface of the college all-stars whipping the original Dream Team’s ass in the that initial game.
I’d be more impressed if the guy did a back-door lay-up on the best in the game.

You can’t get certain types of porn on DVD.

More valuable: this tape or Leighton Meester’s sex tape?
July 8th, 2009 at 9:45 am
Meester

they had to preempt a show of Bob Ross to show that Wizards game

According to Nic Cage, snuff films are only available on 8mm roll-to-roll film.

He’s worried it will affect his negotiating leverage with the Knicks.
Given what we know the Knicks will put up with, I somehow doubt that.
And I believe Ariza. However, it seems as if Ariza didn’t believe LeBron. What does that say about him?

Hey does anybody want to make a deal for Jerry Stackhouse? Dallas is also willing to throw in Erica Dampier, to sweeten the deal!
July 8th, 2009 at 10:20 am
Dallas wants the Polish Hammer
July 8th, 2009 at 10:25 am
Otis is going to make them sweat the whole week, and maybe panic. That’s his move. Gortat wants to start somewhere (and rightly so) but Dallas can’t offer more than the midlevel, which Orlando can easily match - they must have made a lot of money last year in those playoff games.
If Dallas gets Gortat, then they start pushing hard, hard for deal.
Stackhouse - 7 mil salary, only 2 mil guaranteed.
Damp - 12 mill this year, next year non-guaranteed, so expiring
Josh Howard - 11 mil this year, team option next year
They’ll go fishing for players. They’re angling for Marion right now, because they can’t actually deal Dampier until they get Gortat. IF they get Gortat.

I’ve read it was much less about whether LeBron will/wont stay and more that in Hou Ariza will get a chance to be the primary scorer, which obviously wouldn’t happen in Cle. Cant blame him for that.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:58 am
coop…quit with that noise. we ALL KNOW it’s because lebron is OBVIOUSLY leaving the cavs for NEW YORK.
when lebron farts it’s because he hates cleveland so much. he’d NEVER fart in NEW YORK.
lebron was so upset at someone using a payphone, he ordered three more yankee hats online.

Otis is going to make them sweat the whole week, and maybe panic. That’s his move
i read he will wait the full 7 days to match the offer sheet
July 8th, 2009 at 11:02 am
Crawford is going to be sick next year, that was the one guy I was upset IU lost with all the turnover, all he needs to learn is shot selection. I guess he has been killing it at their open gyms, and probably will be heading to the league after this year.

Rumour has it the photos were confiscated by Nike after someone took a dump larger than Lebron’s at this camp too. Stay tuned.
