Baseball, Golf, Media Gossip/Musings, Music, NBA, Soccer, Video, Women's Sports July 12th. 2009, 9:00am
A friendly reminder that the new season of Entourage begins tonight … the 10 most broke states …fraud (finally exposed): Notorious real estate liar Barbara Corcoran … Lesnar, UFC’s new villain, browbeats Frank Mir after the jump …
The Mavs are geeked about the Shawn Marion addition. (DMN)
Someone named Cristie Kerr leads the Gulbis-less US Open. (AP)
Beckham fires back at Donovan. A reason to pay attention to the MLS! (USA Today)
Nothing ever goes right at Nationals park – not even an Elton John concert. Even though he stormed off the stage, at least he got into the park – unlike Stephen Strasburg. (DC Sports Bog)
A knock on the KC Royals: A decade worth of walk problems. (Haha)
Jay Bruce of the Reds suffers a broken wrist, watch it on video. (MLB.com)
“I put together a staff that is incompetent.” Finally, after days of email chatter about Chris Russo’s meltdown, there’s audio. (Fang’s Bites)
If this video (you may have to look around after 2:30) is yanked, these guys have another.

Leslie Howard and Olivia DeHaviland? Man…Russo has officially lost it. Who listens to a sports radio talk show wanting to hear about “Birth of a Nation” or “Gone With the Wind?”

What, did she tell people to trust Lenny Dykstra too?

Bsanders finds this an egregious assault on his intellect. I hated how the show has been going in the last few seasons but what else and I going to do on a Sunday night?

Just curious as to what you haven’t liked about the last few seasons?

okay i first read this on my phone which changes TBL to a different format and no quotation marks. i thought you were taking a hidden barb at your staff

Ari and only Ari. If he wasn’t on the show I wouldn’t watch it.
July 12th, 2009 at 10:27 am
Yeah I agree, although you could keep Drama and I wouldn’t mind

Chris Russo is a tool. “We have no talent” – yeah, and that goes right to the top, jackass. Francesa is better off without him, the WFAN show hasn’t missed a beat.

Their complete indistuishability from the first few seasons. Kevin Connolly’s face.

the writers of entourage have noted that they tried to et back to the way the show was the first season. All i know is that emmanuelle chriqui is in at least the first episode, which means she’ll be in a short dress with a plunging neckline… god i love that french girl

@tommyp,
looks like she lost more than 50 pounds…. she looks like a dude in the before pic

from what i can tell russo’s channel is useless because it babbles about the same shit bspn radio babbles about. gotta give people something different. i mean, my god, how many stations last week rambled on and on and on and on about manny and mcnair?
with the exception of russo and scott wetzel, there is no one on that channel that is remotely compelling.
say what you will about these guys but they got ratings and, for the most part, are unemployed (though they have non-radio gigsnow): mike north and mark madden are out there.
i mean, isn’t satalite radio supposed to be a safe haven for the politicaly incorrect?
July 12th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
You mean this Christie Kerr?
July 12th, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Brock Lesnar is my anti-drug.
July 12th, 2009 at 2:08 pm
That was a beating.

Eh, it’s summer TV, there ain’t much out there. This season of Rescue Me has been really good, and True Blood is enjoyable in a campy, the producers know it’s kinda bad, way. I think Hung sucks. Mad Men comes back in a month, though.
July 12th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
I’m willing to give Hung a few more episodes to impress. Simmons was way off in his “oh, I’m not waiting until ep. 5 to get into the show” rant.

It’s too bad how we have to wait for “Breaking Bad” another damn year. Fuck “Entourage.” It was never a hip show and its premise of some douchebag dudes from New York making it in LA with that wus “Vince,” whom my gf fooled into seeing as well in that chick flick “Devil’s Wear Prada” years ago. But then there was the aftermath of course.
July 12th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
Damn right if you like baseball and the Yankees and the rants of a prime chronically constipated nasal New York douchebag.
