Did anyone else notice that Michael Strahan is about to be in his own sit com on Fox?
What’s it about?
July 15th, 2009 at 8:44 am
It looks like he lives with his brother and that was all I could gather. It is sure to suck balls like 95% of sit coms. Who thought it was a good idea for this? Did his Subway commericals find the eye of some exec?
July 15th, 2009 at 8:47 am

@TexansFan
Is it just me or have the women in Houston gotten a lot uglier/fatter? I’ve been away for four years and I don’t remember it being like this
July 15th, 2009 at 8:52 am
The average annual American Expenditures pie chart is BS.
$457 a YEAR on alcohol?!? Thats less then $40 a month?!? What do these people do for fun?? Or are they drinking High Ten whiskey on a regular basis…
July 15th, 2009 at 8:56 am
And yet, there was no room in the lineup for King of the Hill.
Why are Fox executives the only people on Earth who don’t see that this show will last six episodes?
July 15th, 2009 at 8:57 am
Apparently his guest starring on one episode of Chuck was proof that he’s the next Jim Brown, only with more cock sucking and less domestic violence

//the cock sucking, not the domestic violence

And by “young son” he means “drinking from a beer bong with co-eds.”

She looks smokin hot to me. Can I get a sudden gust of wind to blow up that dress.
July 15th, 2009 at 8:59 am
i assume they’re talking about families, who are likely to consume less alcohol since they’ve got rugrats to take care of.
that being said, we just dropped $150 at the liquor store recently for 12 bottles of wine. that’d be 1/3 of our yearly alcohol supply, which is insane.
when i was single, that $450 would be gone in less than a month of going out.
July 15th, 2009 at 8:59 am
I’d pay a premium for those seats
July 15th, 2009 at 9:01 am
and by seats I mean trees…
/still drunk from miami’d

First Brett Farve takes a dive. Now this. If Strahan played his entire career for the Chiefs, he’d just be another ugly gap-toothed defensive lineman. He’s the luckiest fucker on the planet
July 15th, 2009 at 9:02 am
i have a simple life (boring). I drive from conroe to south of downtown for aviation mechanic school which is a sausage party by itself. I dont go to bars and clubs. Keep in mind it’s an average including the hardcore fundamentalists who spend maybe $10 on drinks.
July 15th, 2009 at 9:08 am
i cut back drinking a lot but i would buy at least an 18 pack every football weekend last year
July 15th, 2009 at 9:08 am
$457 will almost get you a bottle of Goose at a mediocre lounge in NYC. Sans the gratuity of course.

Yes, I would say between $300 and $400 a month for a single person would be about right or on the low side, as bad as that may sound. Drinks aren’t to cheap when you are out and having fun.
You are right though, with kids the priorities change and people don’t drink as often. Still, $457 is nothing when buying any decent alcohol.
July 15th, 2009 at 9:09 am
Rugrats make me drink more!
July 15th, 2009 at 9:11 am
I’m just talking out of my ass, but I bet that is what the average person spends at a liquor store/bar that doesn’t serve food. I think beer bought at a grocery store and drinks bought at restaurants fall into the food category.
July 15th, 2009 at 9:12 am
Notice it said “average US household” not “single young urban professionals”…majority of the posters here are young, single, and still party (excluding JPQ).
Though to be honest, I probably don’t spend $400 a year on alcohol…definitely spend less than $10 a week, so maybe I’m skewing the numbers…

Yeah neither have I, sucks

The story on all the morning news programs about the married couple with 16 kids, and like half of them with special needs, that was murdered during a break-in, is ridiculously sad.

agree. then you look at that douchebag Jon (Jon & Kate) in St Tropez and Paris, actually thinking he’s a big swinging dick because he’s dumped that annoying bitch and his 8 kids for some young piece of trash.
Reality is gonna hit him like a 2×4 when he’s back to being a dumpy single Dad in Scranton in about 6 months when all the TV cameras, money and girlfriend are gone

Longing for the ‘burgh already Hakeem?
July 15th, 2009 at 9:34 am
If you mean Pittsburgh, I would have never guessed anything attractive has ever come out of that city. I have never been, so maybe I am way off, but I get the feeling that biker bars where huge lesbians hang out are on every corner there.
July 15th, 2009 at 9:37 am
Nobody can be THAT desperate.

GoG – Come in for a baseball weekend, NFL game or something sometime. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised how much fun you’ll have.

Never. One year my dad came to visit and I was showing me around campus and at one point he asked, “Where are all the good looking college girls?”
July 15th, 2009 at 9:46 am
