Antonio Cromartie’s Weak $2,500 Fine
1-liner, NFL, Twitter August 5th. 2009, 5:15pm
Antonio Cromartie’s $2,500 Fine: Back on July 31, San Diego Chargers DB Antonio Cromartie tweeted: “Man we have 2 have the most nasty food of any team. Damn can we upgrade 4 str8 years the same ish maybe that’s y we can’t we the SB we need.” Translation: Our food at training camp blows. The Chargers fined him $2,500. Said Cromartie: “I think (the fine) was steep. I’m not going to take back what I said. I thought it was harmless … I don’t regret what I said. But I am going to have to be more careful what I say.” We fully endorse that decision (and not just because San Diego is winning the AFC). A decision we wouldn’t endorse: Adding to his brood of seven kids with five different women. [Union Trib]

TBL, are you time-traveling like Sawyer, Juliet and Co. did in LOST, Season 5?

If I were Cromartie, I’d formally request my release in protest. It wouldn’t be granted, and he wouldn’t slack off on the field, but he’d make a big statement.
They’re treating him like a cog in a corporation. I hate the corporate world, and if I were an NFL football player, I wouldn’t stand for it.
Fined for complaining about the food? Fuck that.
