Saturday Night Rebound: Vince Young
1-liner, NFL August 17th. 2009, 5:15pmVince Young: With the national spotlight off of him Saturday night against perhaps the most boring team in the NFL, Tampa, Vince Young was 9-for-14 for 131 yards and a touchdown. Don’t care for the numbers? Kerry Collins, who is 36, was abysmal and threw two interceptions. Tennessee coach Jeff Fischer claims Young will battle Patrick Ramsey for the No. 3 QB job, but as we’ve predicted all summer, Young will be starting by midseason. When Collins and the Titans are 2-4 heading into the bye week, the fans will clamor for Young. [Tennessean]

I would love to see this. I rag on VY a lot, but I don’t think he’s done quite yet. I mean, he could still be good, right?
Um, right?

VY doing well against Tampa’s backups means…what? It’s the preseason. Nothing is as it seems.
Remember a few years back when the Texans’ Jacoby Jones returned all those punts for touchdowns? He really lit it up in the regular season, didn’t he?

Ha, you know I’m the same way. I enjoy ripping him but kinda always figured he’d get his head out of his ass and at least be decent. Thats looking less likely all the time, doesn’t seem like his head is right.
Oh, and Big 12 QB’s = the suck

The only way VY is playing mid-season is if Collins and the other warm body competing with VY are carried off the field.
