The Secret to Tyler Hansbrough’s Success: Pedicures
Uncategorized February 26th. 2007, 2:46pm
We all know that North Carolina’s All-American forward Tyler Hansbrough has great hands because of the tremendous amount of time he has put in at the ping pong table.
Until now, his nimble feet were a mystery. Ballet classes? Plyometrics? Nope. Pedicures.
Ginyard talked All-America forward Tyler Hansbrough into going with him to the salon last summer, and the muscular sophomore is now a regular. “It’s just something that feels good,” said the 6-foot-9 Hansbrough, who tends to get extra work done on his right foot.
Thanks for the hegemony, Marcus Ginyard.
Anyone else think this story was strategically written late in the season, after the trip to Cameron Indoor? This also cements it – Hansbrough is jumping to the NBA. Because there’s no way he’ll survive ribbing about this next year in the ACC.

When I played basketball in high school, my feet were about 100% blisters from a few weeks into the season till the end. If you’ve ever played basketball at a competitive level, then you shouldn’t criticize a college player for getting pedicures.

That picture is of Marcus Ginyard and Dewey Burke. Tyler is not in that picture, but he does have a quote in the article in the News & Observer where the picture was taken from.

Who said it was Hansbrough in the pic?
