Ballin’: Mavs Loss Streak at Two, Just Nine More to Catch Indiana
Uncategorized March 15th. 2007, 12:02pm
Phoenix 129, Dallas 127, 2 OT: Amare Stoudemire shot 16-for-19 and scored 41 points, and Steve Nash scored 32 points and had 16 assist, as the Suns pulled off a monster fourth quarter rally on the road to upset the Mavericks. Dirk had 30 and 16 for Dallas, and ageless Jerry Stackhouse added 33.
Boston 109, Atlanta 88: Rookie Rajon Rondo inches closer to locking up the point guard position for next year (Telfair? Ha!), and Wednesday he scored 13 points and had 10 assists as the Celtics won their 19th game of the season. At 20, they’re having a Love Boat party.
Washington 112, Indiana 96: Jermaine O’ Neal returned to the lineup to score 24 points, but it wasn’t enough as Gilbert Arenas exploded for 28 second-half points, and Washington didn’t let Caron Butler’s early departure (knee) affect them in the victory. Indiana (those ‘playoff-bound’ Pacers) has lost 11 in a row.
Charlotte 111, Sacramento 108: The Bobcats continue to abstain from defense, but making 12-of-20 three-pointers is a cure for that. Sean May had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Matt Carroll led Charlotte with 22 points.
Cleveland 118, Memphis 96: Greg Oden sure would look nice in whatever color it is the Grizzlies wear, wouldn’t he? Oden at center, Gasol (23 points) at power forward, and Rudy Gay (24 points) somewhere in the mix. Where for art thou, Kyle Lowry?

How about some love for The Bulls? It seems you never cover them in the Ballin’ section.

That Phoenix/Dallas game as absolutely amazing. I tuned in at the start of the 4th and it blew my mind. Easily one of the best regular season games ever. The last 5 minutes of the 4th and the two OTs were like an overdone movie script, except they were real.

Yeah the Phx/Dal game was a classic… but ya know biglead, if you only look at the box score then make your silly judgements you look dumb. Rajon Rondo has had next years pg spot locked up for two months now, and sabby telfair was a ha! a month into the season, so a little late on that one. Watch the games or dont talk about them.

Very true, Sean. Incredible game. Still think NJ-Phoenix 3 OT thriller earlier this year was better, though.
Jay – Don’t have the NBA TV plan, so I have to settle for reading blogs/newspapers and checking the box score.

Hey just ask me I’ve watched every game and let me tell you, I’ve never in my life in any sport seen a team this bad that plays as hard as they do and has such potential… I guess what I’m trying to say is Fire Doc Rivers!
