Greg Paulus Needs Flopping Lessons From Vlade Divac
Uncategorized March 16th. 2007, 3:37amThe best part about this horrible flop by Greg Paulus Thursday against VCU is the replay – if you listen closely, there’s a room full of Duke haters that breaks up in laughter when the slow motion video proves that Paulus was barely touched … and he tried to draw the charge, anyway.
**Unrelated to Duke … there’s a spectacular finish in the making between Xavier and BYU. And there aren’t many better things in the announcing world than when Gus Johnson has the call in a close game. In most of our pools we took BYU, and in all of our bets we had the Cougars, too. A lot of the latter had to do with GW repping the A-10 real well against Vandy.
Well, Xavier won, 79-77. Sets up a bit of a local battle – Ohio State against Xavier Saturday. Plus, Thad Matta used to coach Xavier. Think it’ll be as interesting as Louisville-Texas A&M? Doubt it.

That flop looked pathetic when I saw it on TV, but the replay shows just how ridiculous it looked. At least take some contact before you hit the deck. Somewhere Shane Battier is shaking his head in shame.
