Twins 3, Tigers 2: Minnsota Within 1 in the AL Central
1-liner, Baseball September 29th. 2009, 3:30pmTwins 3, Tigers 2: Because the game was rained out last night, they’re playing two today. In the opener, Minnesota scored two in the top of the 10th and crept within one game of Detroit in the AL Central. Curtis Granderson led off the 10th with a homer, but then Joe Nathan retired the next three batters and earned a save. Tonight’s starters: Verlander for the Tigers, rookie Brian Duensing for the Twins. Eleven days ago, Duensing scattered four hits over 6 1/3 innings, helping Minnesota to a 3-0 victory over Detroit.

so if the Twins win that division, there is absolutely no rational reason for Mauer to not get the MVP, right?

The Tigers fucking suck. I said it. Clete fucking Thomas instead of Magglio in there? Great strategy. Get the fuck out of here.

They were in it up til the final week, that usually is enough to placate the you gotta help your team win people. But yes, TBL and Die Eagles Die have no leg to stand on anymore. THEY ARE LEGLESS I TELL YOU. THEY ROLL AROUND ON A BOARD WITH WHEELS AND I WILL PUT NO CHANGE IN THEIR CUPS.

I’m still holding out hope that Atlanta can miraclously catch Philly. God that would be so sweet.
September 29th, 2009 at 3:44 pm
They don’t need to catch Philly. They’re only a game or two out on The Rockies for the WC.
September 29th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
Two out. Winners of 7 straight.
September 29th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
Atlanta might squeak into the wildcard.
I love it when small market teams beat out teams like the Tigers.
September 29th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
Fucking Tigers are thisclose to pushing me into a stroke.
September 29th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Wait, what was that, there are still playoff races going on?

I hate the Phillies. I could give a crap if the Braves make it or not, just want to see Philly take it from behind.

I’d like to see the Twins get to October, especially after losing that one game playoff last year.
September 29th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
I’d like to see Die Eagles Die apoligize to Mr. Mauer and TBL be forced to wear a Twins jersey on all Yankees/Twins playoff days.
September 29th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
Oh was I supposed to make one of these too?
Wait, what was that, there are still playoff races going on?

Fixed, I think.

Now I will hold out hope that Kolb and McNabb go down for an extensive time and Eagles fans get stuck with Vick.
September 29th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
@Maggs,
More along the lines of payroll than actual fan base.
September 29th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
FUCK
That doesn’t make me feel better.

The good thing about being Mike Ilitch in the recession is that he probably still makes tons of money off of $5 Little Caesar pizzas. People still buy pizza when the economy blows.
Also…
Tigers still averaged 32K per home game this year, which is pretty good considering 1/5 people is laid off. I don’t give a shit if this sounds homerish but Tigers fans are some of the best and most dedicated in all of baseball.
That being said, this “dedicated” fan will murk somebody tonight if the Tigers lose. FUCK

I’m suprised somebody noticed I went missing. That means a lot; I missed being able to hang out here as much as I used to. But you know, the non-internet world keeps calling me away.

I mean… no homo… but you are definitely missed here by me. Hope school is going well for you man.
