Olympics Heading To Rio in 2016

Rio de Janiero, Brazil won the bid to host the 2016 Olympic games beating out America’s favorite lovable loser, Chicago. Obama and Oprah couldn’t do anything as Chicago was the first city voted out of the Olympic house. Crime may have been a factor as Chicago has nearly a quarter the number of murders that Rio does. Of course, it could also have to do with everyone hating America – most notably the US Olympic Committee. Hey, there’s always 2020, right? (AP, Olympic Sports)

No, it doesn’t make sense, but they used crime as a reason Chicago was passed over, despite the fact that Rio had 2000 murders this year.
