Oh, What a Night: Yankees Win, Red Sox Lose
Baseball, Video October 10th. 2009, 7:06amA-Rod ties it in the bottom of the 9th. Tex wins it in the 11th. Bedlam in the Bronx, indeed. Boston? Lost again on the left coast, this time, 4-1. Bad guys trail the Angels 0-2. Looks like the Mets will have some competition on the free agency front seeking a big bat …

Smart move by A-Rod to put that shot right down the Yankee Field wind tunnel. Fed one boy, gave the other a bottle, took a mean deuce, changed the infants clothes after he peed everywhere…. is it too early to start drinking… I’ll save you the time - NO. OSU 23 WISC 13.
October 10th, 2009 at 7:18 am
surprised to see anyone else up this early. impressive, scripty. doubly so if you’re just getting home from a walk of success
October 10th, 2009 at 8:29 am
I can’t tell you how many times I am on here early but too ashamed to be the first commentator… I am OK with it now, I will start taking one for the team more often… Congrats on the Yanks win… I am pretty much ambivalent on the playoffs and just rooting for the ex-Indians to do well….
October 10th, 2009 at 9:02 am
Wow, had not seen that, good for him.
Wisc 17 - OSU 13, that 13 point spread is ridiculously high.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:04 am
I am not sure what Chip Carey’s “Done it again,” call is about? Because he tied the game for the second time? cause he sure hasn’t done that in the playoffs for the Yanks. whatever. what a great fucking game for yankee fans.
TBL- you use Oh, What a Night and we don’t get the 4 Seasons?
October 10th, 2009 at 9:05 am
in the shoe? no way.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:06 am
Not only did the Twins lose in pathetic fashion last night…
I woke up with a wicked hangover, looked out the window, and we have our first snow on the ground here in Minny.
and Now I have to go to into work on a Saturday. FML.

It’s a Beautiful Morning!!!
October 10th, 2009 at 9:26 am
Guy is here to put in Fios. Bad timing, he better be done soon.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:28 am
I need a breakdown of Fios vs Cablevision. Fios seems to kick David Wells sized ass, but is it worth it?
October 10th, 2009 at 9:30 am
haha just saw the mauer hit down the line. love the emphatic foul call by the ump. he sold it well.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:32 am
Is it me, or are the umps trying to usher in replay? It’s almost like they are purposely blowing easy calls.
Can’t remember if it’s the post season scrutiny highlighting a normal number of bad calls or if its really more this year. /stats inc somebody

Depends on FIOS provider. I wasn’t that impressed with Verizon, good internet speeds but cable was just meh. Installation is an all day affair as fiber is run into the home.
I’ve got ATT Uverse witch they call FIOS, technically is fiber to the node not all the way to the home, but close enough. Installation was also a bitch as the boxes need to be connected via ethernet cables. Its fantastically amazing though.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:36 am
going to pay a lil more money for Fios, but worth every damn penny. being that I am not a knicks or rangers fan, i have no problem with the lack of MSG in HD. eventually, it will become part of Fios.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:37 am
DAMN YANKEES!
October 10th, 2009 at 9:39 am
didn’t notice a better picture because of Fios on my HDTVs, however, did notice it on my tube before i got rid of it for the free one i got from Verizon last year.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:41 am
fios will change your life
October 10th, 2009 at 9:43 am
Fios has a deal with our building so it’s coming in a little cheaper than Cablevision. Cablevision DVR blows, it fills up way too quick.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:43 am
here is what i want to know. has anyone seen the quality of an HDTV with just rabbit ears? as long as you are in an area that can pick up the signal for the local networks, i heard that is the best way to actually get HD quality. closest thing to true HD like what you would see in the TV studio before it is all compressed into our homes.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:46 am
Seriously, im a yankee fan and was ecstatic with last nites events, but chip caray must be relieved from his position. His “he’s done it again” call is probably the one thing u cant say when it comes to A-rod and the postseason as a yankee. that call almost overshadowed the moment for all wrong reasons.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:46 am
I heard Fios was the shit. I am without options. My parents in law just got the Fios, but not cable. They’re obsessed with not having cable.
October 10th, 2009 at 9:50 am
Easy joke here
October 10th, 2009 at 10:00 am
ota hd is the shit. i get with an indoor terk tv55 antenna with built in amp. my only issue is non tech users in the house bitching about switching to antenna on the tv. these are the same people that can’t understand the hdmi switch.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:01 am
You know, this Wizards of Waverly Place show isn’t too bad. Better than the past three seasons of Entourage.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:02 am
what a douche A-Rod is. a 3 run shot wins it in the 9th, but no, Mr. Chokey McKee only hits a 2 run homer. that guy sucks. i don’t know how yankee fans can put up with it. those people really are salt of the earth.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:04 am
You know, this Wizards of Waverly Place show isn’t too bad.
you can’t admit you like that show until next July, pervert. It’s about a 1000 times better than Hannah Montana, which is better than 2 1/2 men, which is better than entourage.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:05 am
I’d never seen it, but I have my five year-old nephew for the next week. This Selena Gomez has pretty good comic timing. Is that okay to say?
October 10th, 2009 at 10:09 am
ESPN’s gonna interview Jimmy Clausen during Gameday? Awesome! They almost never interview him every week!
I wonder if they’ll introduce him as a “Heisman Frontrunner”
October 10th, 2009 at 10:09 am
I’ve seen it. She’s on her way to pulling an Amanda Bynes, it seems like. She’s definitely a little teen sensation. I have a creepy nephew who is in love with her. He shoved Hannah Montana to the side.
So yeah, it’s OK to say she’s got comedic actress potential.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:11 am
that amanda bynes is a saucy little number
/i, uh, i have nephews?
October 10th, 2009 at 10:12 am
@TBL - I’m not sure how many other people this morning fully understand the hilarity of this statement. Good job, dude.
Best Gameday sign so far - Tim Tebow loves Coach Urban Meyer
October 10th, 2009 at 10:14 am
This is true sparty. It’s completely unfiltered. Straight from the broadcast antenna to your antenna. No cable or satellite box with more cables to muddy it up.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:15 am
I mean, Selena Gomez is no Kristin Kreuk, but…
October 10th, 2009 at 10:16 am
Don’t worry Sir Spicious, Amanda Bynes is all grown up. You’re cool there. Unless, that is, you picked her up during All That when she was a little kid and watched her grow up on Nickelodeon on the Amanda Show. Then you’re a creep. Also, if you’ve seen all of her movies.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:18 am
new, duplicate post is up.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:18 am
if you want to be saving money, this definitely would sound like the best way to cut expenses.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:22 am
Sweet, triple the Yankees today.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:22 am
I mean, Selena Gomez is no Kristin Kreuk, but…
She’s only got to be Traylor Howard to get an ABC sitcom. Although ABC is kind of making an effort to use more regular sized women, instead of the heads on the sticks, at least of late.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:23 am
Right. But obviously you’ll get like five regular channels and all their subchannels. None of the regular stuff like History Channel, ESPN, CNN, TBS (very funny), etc. But you know this.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:24 am
now all those posts have disappeared. I wonder if the tiny guy who plays E on Entourage has ever sported a moustache..
October 10th, 2009 at 10:25 am
We’ll posting every 15 seconds until someone passes out. Then every 30 seconds.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:25 am
i hope your not saying Traylor Howard is bad, she’s awesome
October 10th, 2009 at 10:25 am
Yep, my last shot of watching any of the playoffs ended last night. But I might actually pull for the Yankees over more Manny and “Joe Torre’s homecoming.”
October 10th, 2009 at 10:29 am
i hope your not saying Traylor Howard is bad, she’s awesome
No, not at all. She had a fresh, pretty face, with good comedic timing. That’s plenty to earn you the lead on a sitcom, if you’re thin. And that’s the direction that Selena Gomez is headed. Neither of those girls is Kristen Kreuk, though, who’s a mega hottie.
October 10th, 2009 at 10:44 am
I use Tivo, anything less is unsatisfying.

Fios vs. Directv? Thinking about makin the switch to satellite
October 10th, 2009 at 3:58 pm
You have to be shittin’ me! I merely watched the highlights on “Baseball Tonight,” and could it be more obvious that the call of a foul ball on that late hit by a Twins batter was home cooking by the Yankees? The outfield umpire not only was in place to make the correct call, but the ball hit the player’s glove in the field of play as well as bounced off it IN the field of play!
I say baseball is rigged when possible after that egregious screw-up, and the fact the dominant New York media are NOT on the case but part of the cookin’ for their team the Yankees merely is more evidence.
