Even Mississippi State. Mississippi State. It’s okay though. They’ve only been playing them for 20 years.

I’ve got no sweaty MMA guy in this fight, but I really hope he stays in Cleveland just to nutpunch the New Yorkers.

That’s not a good picture of Emmy Rossum, but it’s pretty accurate on Adam Duritz. I can’t think of an uglier guy who has pulled more high profile tail than that guy.
One of the main reasons people quit listening was because those tales of woe and anguish didn’t work very well after he swapped from Cox to Aniston and then back while banking millions of dollars.
There’s at least 5 really good songs by them, and I know, because I am a white guy and half a fag.

I hope he stays in Cleveland too. I hope he does that so that Dwyane Wade can’t afford not to leave Miami. Miami sucks, though Dwyane Wade doesn’t.

last time I had Columbus Day off was Senior Year in HS back in 1996…also known as when the Buffalo Bills where good.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:39 am
that’s funny.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:41 am
Duffy while chime in more later.
Hopefully about soccer and Michigan football. I’ll bet Maggs is all wound up and ready to hulk out at anybody, especially Duffy, who hurled himself off the bandwagon again Saturday night. Today he’ll claim never to have been on it. That should be fun.

Furman Bisher may have just retired, but he checked out a long time ago. I don’t think anybody’s read his column for over ten years.
During Cal Ripken, Jr’s farewell tour when it came through Atlanta, Bisher asked “So, what’s your dad been up to these days?” Ripken had to remind Bisher that his dad had passed away a few years prior.
Uhhh boy.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:45 am
Between the holiday and the late end to the game last night, I must say the commute into work this AM was delightful. No traffic.
Agree, with “Rain King” being a close second.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:45 am
I wasn’t around to witness this, but I have no trouble believing it. What about “Colorblind” by the C. Crows? Ryan Phillipe deflowered Jake Gyllenhaal’s future wife to it.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:48 am
People like the Counting Crows? What is this? A Simmons fan site?
October 12th, 2009 at 8:49 am
Real quote from a Furman article about a year and a half ago about the MLB season: “Well, not any longer. Money can change any habit. Eight springs ago the Mets and Cubs opened the season, not in Cincinnati. Guess where? Tokyo. That Tokyo, the guys who gave us Pearl Harbor. Some people don’t like you to bring that up, trade with Japan is so hot. But I’ve got a long memory. I saw what a few bombs can do to our property.”
October 12th, 2009 at 8:49 am
what is there to be ashamed of? they went on the road and lost to the best or second best team right now in their conference. I still think Michigan is an 8 win team. Just glad that Michigan State made sure they weren’t a 9 win team.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:51 am
Would now be a good time to disclose that I really like the director’s cut of “Almost Famous”?
October 12th, 2009 at 8:52 am
I thought it was a general assumption on this site that anything left after 11:30 PM on a Saturday never happened?
October 12th, 2009 at 8:54 am
I wasn’t ashamed of anything. I thought they were better team, barring turnovers and a few coaching mistakes.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:54 am
cant believe nobody has uploaded the ray rice TD to youtube. gus johnson went nuts.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:56 am
Gus Johnson goes nuts trimming his pubes. Doesn’t make the act more than what it is.
October 12th, 2009 at 8:59 am
well, then, they weren’t.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:02 am
I want to know all the places these people “consult” so that I can NEVER eat there. great idea – make the food suck – that will get you through economic down turn.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:03 am
I thought it was a general assumption on this site that anything left after 11:30 PM on a Saturday never happened?
Even if it’s Paolo screaming at Jay V about his gambling losses, calling him a first time commenter, and then confusing him with Jay and lambasting him for LSU’s performance? I hope I didn’t dream that.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:07 am
Put me in the “working” today group. Commute was awesome this morning.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:08 am
Can we expect a post on this?
October 12th, 2009 at 9:09 am

sponge: I can’t believe it either. Top 50 school for sure

counting crows is in my top five bands ever. love them.

Awesome. I wish I was there. Actually, Paolo is still probably commenting on a Saturday night post.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:15 am
can we get some comment on Derek Andersons 2-17, 23 yard, 1 int performance and the fact that the Browns still didn’t but in Quinn? He must be beyond terrible.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:17 am
I love this statement:
allow me to rephrase: “Forget the fact that over 85% of the moguls on the Forbes 400 have a bachelor’s degree, at a minimum. You don’t have to go to college to be successful.”
October 12th, 2009 at 9:21 am
Damn my 49ers got whipped. Defense didn’t show up and what little offense we have was not enough.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:27 am
you thought michigan…with ONE quality lineman on either side was better than iowa? REALLY?
October 12th, 2009 at 9:29 am
Mrs. Potters Lullaby for best Counting Crow song. Duritz has pulled some amazing tail. Nice perk of being famous and rich.
I am sure that you don’t need a bachelor’s degree if you aspire to be absurdly wealthy. However, it is nice thing to have to hedge against being unemployable should your attempts to build a business empire fail.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:29 am
can we get some comment on Derek Andersons 2-17, 23 yard, 1 int performance
he was the winning QB, and the stat quarterback wins isn’t remotely worthless.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:32 am
it was fucking beautiful.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:37 am
you’re right…of those Forbes 400 guys, the equivalent of 15 out of 100 don’t have one. that sounds like good odds to me!
October 12th, 2009 at 9:42 am
Dirt you can’t read like RS27 or Jay V, and sorry I mixed up the Jays again this is the Circlejerk PA one. I never said either of them were first time commmenters on this site. They chopped off my words on the part “on their betting.” They were just winners gloating, which is what some gamblers do in mid-season, which of course any long-timer knows is usually bad luck.
If they can’t read well in Circlejerk PA and wherever RS27 is, it’s not my problem, but they should just be happy they won big this weekend and it was NOT an easy board nonetheless BEFORE the games.
Of course in retrospect, people are like, “Oh yeah, Seattle, Atlanta, I knew that …” but they never show up with picks on here BEFORE the games like TBL Godfather, Artie, me, PL, a few others …
October 12th, 2009 at 9:46 am
and sorry I mixed up the Jays again
Paolo, this is the funniest part. The second funniest part is that Jay V is an absolute degenerate gambler, and he’s always very up front about his picks.
But when you mix up the Jays, it’s really, really funny. I know you were just mad because he was saying picking games was so easy this week, and you got fucked by Dallas and New England. It was funny.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:48 am
Read for yourselves what I actually said versus what they say I said …look around the political chat with an informed dude I have never seen before on here too:

October 12th, 2009 at 9:49 am
Agreed here, but don’t mischaracterise as did they what I actually said, and it’s not my fault some of you all can’t read.
Just because you all hate me of course.
EAT A HIGH HARD ONE I say to that. *)
October 12th, 2009 at 9:50 am
When? I have never seen that, and you know I am all over this site. I call serious bullshit until Jay V can man up otherwise.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:52 am
that would all be well and good Paolo, but Jay V is a big time gambler. He didn’t list out his NFL/CFL picks on Friday like you do, but there’s no reason not to believe what he’s saying.
October 12th, 2009 at 10:55 am
Nobody caught this? 2012, what did you think that Cusack movie would be about?
October 12th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
Yeah no doubt only a paper pick for me and fantasy for TBL Godfather …I love the folks who say that Atlanta was an easy pick, of course always after the fact, when the 49ers have not lost that badly at home since 1967.
October 12th, 2009 at 12:04 pm
Oh really is that because he is Seabass’ cousin in Circlejerk PA and only posts about his gambling when he wins. Ah yeah okay gotcha your Jerkwater logic Dirtheavy ok sure …
/Seabass’d

October 12th, 2009 at 12:48 pm
For those who need information on Seabass:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yab9fyO3M14&feature=related
Of course at least half the readers on this site are Seabass’s wherever they live, so that is of course also why they hate me and probably most EYE-TALIANS and so on. Or at least perhaps they are wannabes akin to his bojack redneck school of friends.
October 12th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Ugggg. Counting Crows? Really? Cannot stand them. The most blah college band ever. My gf loves them and I have to grit my teeth every time she plays them in the car.
October 12th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
Counting Crows and the ubiquitous “Mr. Jones” back in 1993 …that’s when I knew ’90s music was going to suck for awhile post-Grunge, and boy did it ever. Then in 1997 or so the crowd amassed to Eminem and Britney, but Britney at least put on a new scene for chicks who were not going to be ninnies like my peers were and are to this day.
How else could one explain so many bitches back then akin to that ugly-ass Alanis Morrisette? They would never make it in the internet era, and don’t even try with Amy Winehouse another ugly-ass has-been at best.
October 12th, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Can more not be said about Houston Nutt’s track record in ruining and not developing QB’s?!?!?!
This in itself should be a whole other story!!
Ole Miss will probably lose three more games. The honeymoon is over for HDN and Snead will have to try to get into the league via free agency.
Congratulations Ole Miss, this is your coach, Houston Dale Nutt!!
/Giggling Razorback fan who will be in Oxford on 10/24 to watch the Hogs trounce Ole Miss and HDN.
