The end result: almost everyone’s numbers were up considerably from August. The increases in some places were unbelievably massive. 1. Yahoo Sports: 38,356,000 unique visitors

2. ESPN: 28,822,000 unique visitors

3. NFL Internet Group: 18,814 unique visitors
Top teams – Cowboys 1st (1.74 million), Steelers 2nd (1.10), Bears 3rd (826k), Patriots 4th (776k), Eagles 5th (694k).
4. Fox Sports.com 15,472,000 unique visitors
Down a bit from Sept. 2008 (16,554,000).
5. CBS Sports 15,245,000 unique visitors
CBS College Sports (7.07) outdrew CBS Sports (6.22).
6. Fantasy Sports Ventures: 14,053,000 unique visitors.

7. AOL Fanhouse: 9,564,000 unique visitors
Rough four month span – poor June, good July, weak August and September.
8. MLB.com: 9,511,000 unique visitors
One more month until the NBA takes this spot in the Top 10.
9. Sports Illustrated Sites: 5,901,000 unique visitors
Best month since August 2008 (6.19 million, which was Olympic-driven).
10. NBC Sports: 4,689,999 unique visitors
