Brad Penny and Karina Smirnoff? Penny Sure is Building One Heck of a Resume
Athletes and Celebrities, Baseball October 22nd. 2009, 12:12pm
Brad Penny, the portly pitcher who is known more for his prowess with the ladies - he’s dated Eliza Dushku and Alyssa Milano - than success on the mound, has hooked himself another famous female: Karina Smirnoff, who isn’t the heir to the vodka fortune, but is a dancer. She’s also very, very attractive. And flexible in one of these photos. Here’s video of Penny and Smirnoff at some club in Los Angeles hooking up. Another Karina Smirnoff fun fact: She got engaged to a guy she dated for six months, and then broke it off in September. She’s also on an unwatchable show that we’ve never seen more than eight seconds of, Dancing with the Stars. If you have time to kill, here’s her Myspace photo album.

I think TBL needs to take a screenshot of his DVR. I’m curious what the sports blogosphere’s Alan Sepinwall is watching.

Another good thing about the whole internet/social revolution…people that are somewhat famous but not too famous having myspace/facebook pages and posting pictures of themselves up.

She’s seen more dick than Fruit of the Loom
I think she banged every guy on every season of that stupid show, starting w/ Mario Lopez and Aaron Carter.

Steve Phillips is wondering where the rest of her is.

Steve Phillips thinks she’s anorexic.

Your incongruous TV habits intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

TBL likes Lost and Gossip Girl, but refuses to watch Dancing with the Stars which features chicks like this? I’ve watched DWTS (yes, I abbreviated) and it’s watchable and you don’t have to be committed.
Please explain TBL.
/But Mike, he was bangin cocktail waitresses 2 at a time!!

Woah woah woah dont you DARE lump in Lost with the rest of that trash.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:34 pm
i want to lick her stomach
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:34 pm
She’s mid-tier hotness for Dancing With the Stars.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:36 pm
Shit, I totally forgot this was today.

The intellectual level required to even consider grouping Lost with Gossip Girl (and then comparing it to Dancing with the Stars) both frightens and disturbs me. Essentially, you seem to be saying “I like when the shiny box includes boobs, I like the boobs on this dancing show better.”
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:37 pm
DWTS is the best eye candy since Kiana Tom’s show went off the air.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:38 pm
Apparently Isiah Thomas and Magic are not friends anymore.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:40 pm
Gossip Girl is high-brow trash TV, but it is quite witty. Its writing staff is light years ahead of Entourage. And I’m a big Lostie, but let’s not start acting like it’s Kafka.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:43 pm
Girls on that show are recoculous.
And you get to see things like Aaron Carter crying when the judges call his lambada “uncomfortable to watch.”
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:44 pm
I’m probably like Sanders in that I love Lost to watch, but I think it’s ridiculous to talk about it for the entire next day.
I can point you to any lost post from the spring where the in the top 10 comments, Sanders drops an off topic link in to indicate that the chatter is boring. Usually because it’s boring.
Jacob is Jesus. Jesus is Mr Happy. I think it’s Ka. etc.

Steve Phillips needs more cushion for the pushin’.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Lost is better than Kafka. I was more offended by the reasoning as to why you should watch Dancing with the Stars (girls are pretty, don’t have to know what’s going on) then anything. I like the first season of GG, completely lost me after that though. It is much better than Entourage.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:48 pm
JESUS IS MR HAPPY.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:48 pm
Yeah, I could give a shit about any and all of the sci-fi, time travel, ZOMG WHAT IS JACOB! elements of the show. Back in season one, when it was almost completely character driven it was an almost HBO-level show. It’s had its peaks and valleys since then, but the best episodes are almost always about the characters and not the super-weird shit happening around them.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:49 pm
Brah, I’m not comparing the two, I’m saying that if Gossip Girl and Lost are always talked about, then how on Earth can DWTS be “unwatchable?”
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:50 pm
dont watch any reality tV.
rule of mine.

I think I saw it described in EW as In Treatment with a polar bear.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:51 pm
We’re talking about the television viewing habits of one Jason McIntyre. C’mon…
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:51 pm
it was an almost HBO-level show
sadly, no HBO shows are even close to that level now (i dont watch curb)

October 22nd, 2009 at 12:53 pm
You should. It’s awesome.

October 22nd, 2009 at 12:55 pm
i dont watch curb
You should. It’s awesome.
Not if my least favorite character on Seinfeld was George Costanza (of the mains). Then, I should definitely not watch Curb. Believe me, I’ve tried.
October 22nd, 2009 at 12:55 pm
I need to start watching television shows again. I’ve really only been watching sports since Lost and 24 ended. I haven’t even gotten started on the new season of the Office, Curb or 30 Rock.

Too true. I miss the days of The Wire and Six Feet Under (my two favorite shows of AT).
Yes, Yes, Meh, Meh, Yes, Yes, Meh, Don’t Like the Voices, Don’t Like The Cleveland Show, Can’t Stay Pacey Witter…

you’re missing out on Fringe Sanders. There’s nobody on TV doing a better job with his part than John Noble.
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:04 pm
I recently watched an episode of Six Feet Under and I can’t believe how used to Micheal C. Hall as Dexter I am at this point. The first season of Six Feet Under one of my favorite things of all time, but by midthird season or so it just became “I’m sad, I am also sad.” Great Series Finale though.
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Smirnoff is ridic.
Vodka, too.
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:12 pm
Dexter is amazing. Great show.
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:12 pm
Im so glad I started watching Fringe from the beginning. It looked interesting but I didnt think it would be this good.
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:14 pm
meh
October 22nd, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Yeah, it’s depressing as all hell, but as far as the acting and writing goes, I’d only rate The Wire ahead of it. The first few seasons of Homicide are close, as is the lone season of Freaks and Geeks.
October 22nd, 2009 at 2:11 pm
The only people I know that watch Gossip Girls are chicks. I find it strange that there’s a bunch of dudes on here, including the Head Honcho, that watch it. I’d watch it as maybe a guilty pleasure (kinda like OC when it first came out), but I wouldn’t admit to being an avid fan.
