I’ve mostly ignored this story (I got the gist without reading a single post or article about the affair.), but now that I’ve read this and seen some of the details, I’m wondering why anyone gives a shit? Couldn’t we have gotten all the details at once? Everyone involved is a horrible person. I just want to say that I feel bad for Phillips’ family. If your father isn’t a scumbag, I suggest you give him a call today just to say hi. If he is, I’m sorry for you too. (New York Post)

Because Steve Phillips is (SCREWYOUALLYOUKNOWTHIS) a pretty attractive man. He’s a veritable silver fox. In addition he’s if not actually rich extremely well off and he has a modicum of fame. In short, Steve Phillips is better than me. And yet my dick has never touched anything once in a moment of weakness half to the level of something that he apparently pursued and carried a relationship on with. It’s not just schadenfreude (though it is that). It’s disbelief. It’s inexplicable. It doesn’t make sense on an intellectual level, and it hurts my brain. And that’s why people give a shit.

Mike : here’s the filing, but not the complaint. It says something to the effect of Civil cases under $10,000 on the computer search. My guess is he’s closer to $10 million
