It will be a top 10 NBA highlight this season, and a top 50 sports highlight this year. The bat was wounded and flew away or died. Who gives a shit what happened to it – we’re talking about a bat! (Yes, we’re aware of White Nose Syndrome. It is far down our lists of concerns, right before “is it time to switch paper towel brands?” and after “if offered $7,500, would I get in a shark cage in Australia?”) Of course, PETA is outraged about Ginobili’s reaction to the bat. PETA is the worst. They are worse than the radical right and left combined. We may go out and buy a really nice and expensive fur coat tonight just to spite them. Even if we can’t afford it.

ELF is worse texans, but they’re set up like a true terrorist network with no HQ. They have a front man that issues press releases and stays completely clean, but otherwise it’s just a collection of local cells that have little or no contact with any other cell.

Point taken. I read alot of Bill Simmons, so my view has been tainted slightly. I read about Bias on Wikipedia earlier this morning, and what happened to his brother has to be mentioned tonight. Haven’t heard enough about this story.

This bat shit (see what I did there?) isn’t that big, but fur is an industry I’ll never support. I’ve seen some crazy ass videos of animals being skinned ALIVE to make fur (in China I think) to make me disgusted for a lifetime. Fur’s not a necessity for me and it never will be.

I’ve seen a rough cut of this and it did talk about his brother. I had never heard that story before. Not sure if they cut it out because the original doc is about 90 minutes and tonight he had to cut it down to 55 or whatever 30 for 30 gives him.

Also, why is there a bat in the middle of an NBA arena? I read by one of the crazed PETA commenters that bat are rarely in the San Antonio area, which makes me believe that this was set up by the orgainzation since it was Halloween.

I’m not sure about San Antonio, but central Texas has huge concentrations of bats. There’s a colony of something like 3 million that live under the Congress Street bridge I think in Austin.
