LA Lakers 103, Houston 102, OT: In 34 minutes, Derek Fisher scored 0 points, had 0 assists and 0 rebounds. But in the final seconds of OT, Fisher stripped Trevor Ariza as he drove for a potential game-winning shot and the Lakers prevailed. Kobe was outstanding with 41 points. Andrew Bynum (17 points, 17 rebounds) suffered an elbow injury late. In the Ariza-Artest matchup, they both got T’d up, and each hit a crucial three pointer in the final 30 seconds to send the game to OT. Ariza pressed for most of the night (5-for-21).

Phoenix 100, Orlando 122: With no Leandro Barbosa and J-Rich playing just 20 foul-plagued minutes and shooting 0-for-4, the Suns fell from the ranks of the unbeaten. The Magic, playing without Vince Carter (ankle) and still-suspended Rashard Lewis, had six guys score in double figures, led by newbie Ryan Anderson’s 20-10.

jason-kidd-girlfriend-hope-dworaczyk-modelDallas 107, New Orleans 114: Just one of those nights – Dirk and J Kidd (pictured with model girlfriend Hope Dworaczyk) combined to shoot 7-for-27, but Jason Terry pumped in 35 off the bench. CP3 scored 39, and even though Peja only made one basket, it was a clutch one with six seconds left in regulation to force OT.

Memphis 105, Golden State 113: Allen Iverson got his way and played heavy minutes – 27, in which he scored 18 points – but who cares, if the Grizz lost? (Thabeet watch: Three minutes, two turnovers. He has 10 fouls and two points in five games.) The Warriors notched their first win of the season on the strength of nine Steph Curry assists, and 44 points off the bench from Anthony Morrow and Corey Maggette.

young-moses-malone-in-high-schoolIndiana 101, New York 89: The Knicks suffered an epic fourth-quarter meltdown – no points for nine minutes – and the Pacers rallied for their first win of the season. Larry Bird can breathe easy, and Danny Granger won’t have to answer questions about ducking the media. For a night, anyway. TJ Ford (16 points) took over late and 2nd year center Roy Hibbert from Georgetown had his second double-double in a row. David Lee scored 20 and collected 19 rebounds for the losers, who watched as rookie Jordan Hill registered his fourth straight DNP-coach’s decision.
