Marbury Wants to Play in Italy
Uncategorized July 18th. 2007, 7:28pm
This is Italy. Stephon Marbury wants to play in Italy when his contract is up. He has become smitten with the country during his sneaker tour throughout Europe.
“It’s like a David Beckham thing,†he tells the NY Post.
What will become of his talk show?

If I’d been under the scrutiny of the media since the time I was 14 an Italian retirement would sound pretty damn good.

Seriously, who cares about marbury. He is a butt lick for criticizing Jordan. Can you focus on Vick, cause honestly, does anyone give a rats ass about Steph? My guess is no, which is why he will be dissappearing in Italy soon, but not soon enough. Buh Bye.

I have never, ever, been impressed by Starbury. Who cares.

Why the hell not? Don’t we all want to live like George Clooney?

Just as I was about to renew my Tisettanta Cantu season tickets…

How do you say franchise killer in Italian?

Why couldn’t he pick a wacky new career like Shaq the cop?

And the story here is what ? An NBA player with an inflatted ego has begun campaigning for a new contract big deal. This guy is a dope and if the Knicks were smart they would buy out his contract now and buy him a plane ticket.
A Beckham thing,he couldnt hold Beckhams’ jock.

Personally, I would hate to see the guy go…I will admit he might be half nuts but there is no athlete in NY..none…that gives more of himself to charity and helping kids. He might say things, he might not win you a title but this guy is genuine when it comes to his Charitable exploits…just find the thing were he donated a million dollars to Katrina victims and broke down crying when talking about it, to me, says alot. The business with Steve and Barry’s and the sneakers another great thing…I understand its a business venture but, it provides affordable shoes to kids taking away the stigma that the more expensive shoes are better and some of the money is donated to charity. He is better then the Pacman’s and Mike Vick’s and unfortunately the only thing we can say is whatever when he says this. Not saying the jokes shouldn’t fly here…I just want to give props to a guy who behaves like we wish these other guys did.

I love it!
He doesn’t have to sell his labor to the NBA. Take it over to Italy, Starbury, and take a lap on this beautiful beaches.
American baseball players have done this before (to Japan, of course), so why not basketball players?

“It’s like a David Beckham thing,â€
This needs to be used in as many contexts as possible, even when it doesn’t quite make sense…
“I’m thinking that after I break up with my girlfriend I’m going to have sex with guys for a while. It’s like a David Beckham thing.”

Bold move.
Perhaps now he will find out who Mario and Luigi are, and the true secret of the Warp Zone.

Can he please take Isiah with him?

I spent two weeks last Christmas in Italy, and I’ve gotta say, the food is REALLY good.
And you can’t buy a pair of Italian shoes for less than $400, imagine what a revolution those Starburys will start over there!
Oh, and Johnny: fuck Michael Jordan.

“An NBA player with an inflatted [sic] ego has begun campaigning for a new contract big deal.”
From which corner of your mind did you pull that crap? All this hate on Marbury makes no sense.
Yeah, his teams haven’t always fared very well in the win column but he’s a career 20/8/3 player who gives more back to the community than any active player in the NBA.

As a T’Wolves fan, it pains me to say it, but Steph’s turned into a pretty good guy. Disappointing player, but surprisingly good guy.

To all the haters out there… Marbury is a wise man and contributes to society the way you grandstand how other athletes should lead their lives. Give him his DAPS (due and proper spects) cuz dis nawga is hood and still gives to his community. I even think he’s married to a sista. Marbury is a great role model not only in New York and Staten Island but also in every hood in America. Marbury shows that even if you’ve done some dirt, maybe robbed a liquor store, maybe you shot some nawgas, maybe punched out some old lady sometime, maybe even beat down some bitches at a bar for not gettin out da VIP room (yo you best be slurpin if you goin be shakin it in the VIP room baybay BAYBAY!), its ok, cuz redemption and change is possible as exemplified by my main man STARBURY!
