This is true to an extent. When he was coming in, Heath had not disciplined any players and they basically did what they want. Altman caught wind that some kids might not be eligible and we would be in trouble. He just said fuck it and hopped back on the plane and back to Creighton. Which I didn’t mind, the asshole wouldn’t even call the Hogs because he was afraid he would upset his friends back at Creighton. That defines starting off on the wrong foot.
Pelphrey is the same way. He may seem like he is some tough guy coach, but he is a players coach first and foremost. He has also recruited so many kids with bad characters they are rubbing off on everyone but Rotnei.
We should of hired Self after Nolan left. John White fucked us on that. We went from what everyone called a “Top 10 job” to being a complete clusterfuck and I am worried about what will happen after this year, because I don’t think Pelphrey will make it through. Least interest in Hog basketball I can rememeber in my lifetime. No fans in the seats will cost Pelphrey.
