Rotnei Clarke of Arkansas set a school record with 51-points last night. He hit 13 threes on 17 attempts. Now, you’ll have to excuse me while I make a wanking motion because he did it in 34 minutes in a game his team won 130-68 against Alcorn State.

Yeah, Arkansas needed all 51 of those points. Rotnei’s 13th three-pointer iced the game putting the Razorbacks up 118-49 with 5 and a half minutes to go. And I was all ready to start a much longer rant about why this kid played so damn many minutes in a blowout of this proportion, but then I took a closer look at the box score and thought it was overly-peculiar that Arkansas would only play 5 guys off the bench.

Oh yeah, the Razorbacks were down five guys last night because of a gang bang. (Alleged!) Of course, you would think that the guys at the bottom of the bench who hadn’t tag-teamed a girl recently would have been able to play more than 2 minutes a piece.

Of course, you couldn’t take the PT away from Clarke, Oklahoma high school sports’ all-time leading scorer. I don’t know, I guess I just find a 62-point ass-whopping to be a bit excessive. I know, I know – stop them if you don’t like it.

The picture over here is from Clarke’s final game in high school were he broke the state scoring record. He’s the guy shooting over the triple-team in a 19-point win. The e-mailer who sent in these links is an Arkansas fan who described Clarke as “our JJ Redick.”

I guess my point is… Arkansas – a program you can love!
