NBA Trade: Stephen Jackson to Charlotte
1-liner, NBA November 16th. 2009, 12:45pmStephen Jackson Traded (Finally): Unhappy Golden State forward Stephen Jackson was dealt this morning to Charlotte. Stack Jack and Acie Law (still surprised he’s been an NBA non-factor) will head East, and the Bobcats will ship aging Raja Bell and oft-traded Vlad Rad to Don Nelson’s doghouse. Knee-jerk: Any deal would have been good for the Warriors; the Bobcats finally get a scorer to boost their league-low FG percent (39) and ppg (82.4). It’ll be impossible for Acie Law to beat out Felton/Augustin for playing time. [ESPN]

Acie Law was a badass at A&M, really disappointed he’s done nothing as a pro.

I missed badly on Acie Law. I thought he’d convert easily to a PG who could shoot.

What’s with all these auto-playing ads? Pretty annoying.

What’s with all these auto-playing ads?
The only ad I get is Sarah Spain, and she only turns on when I turn her on.

If the Saints continue to win, and the Hornets do the cap-space trades, will anyone support the Hornets down in Nawlins? I’m from there and I know it’s not a basketball town. They(we?) only wanted them because two pro teams makes it look like a big time city. If the Hornets pulled a Baltimore Colts move during a Saints superbowl win, no one will noticed. Noooo one.

People thought he’d be a good pg due to his amazing assist totals…unfortunately no one realized that the Texas A&M scorer doles out assists so frequently that Texas doesn’t allow assists recorded in College Station to count towards Texas records.

Short term this gives little to the Warriors. Bell might get bought out before year’s end/traded before deadline as he’s best suited for a playoff contender that needs a vet in its bench. Vlad Rad? Wow. To think he was at one point thought of as worthy of any big contract is ludicrous. Long term? No idea.
As for the Cats, can Felton find Jax enough to make him happy? They win the trade on terms of talent. Can Larry Brown avoid fighting with him though?

So far the poor start hasn’t affected the Hornets at the gate. Yes, it’s still a Saints town first and foremost but the Hornets still get support down here.
The caveat is: lose CP3 and all bets are off.

And his ONIONS! at the end of games.

Don’t Stephen Jackson and Gerald Wallace play the same position? Neither can move down to play SG, or move up and play PF. Wallace starts, but does Jax get enough minutes to keep him happy?

Dear Acie Law,
Fuck you.
All the best,
Hawks fans

I thought Jackson could play SG…

To think he was at one point thought of as worthy of any big contract is ludicrous.
before Mitch Kupchak was a genius exec of the year, he was kinda stupid.
@ tallguy, I watched a few games before forming my opinion. But not 10 of them.

What do Capt Jack and Adam Morrison have in common?

Don’t you mean before Jerry West gave him Pau Gasol?

Don’t you mean before Jerry West gave him Pau Gasol?
according to one “high profile” commenter here, the jury is still out on that trade. Mark Gasol might be the real deal.

I thought that knowing how to dribble a basketball was important to a shooting guards’ game. He can’t dribble. Nor can he play defense against a SG who can dribble.

You mean Chris Wallace.

Haha no I mean the puppet master aka the logo
