This post copied above by TSH was taken down along with my comments on the hotter every time Carrie Prejean, the flamer has-been Perez Hilton who should not have been there anyway, and my compliments to TSH for avoiding hype or overanalysis of a meaningless NFL game a la bsanders’ post from last Thursday, for which he owned up to like a stand-up man and will make improvements to future posts.

a guy on twitter tells me that No. 10, the DB who goes for the ball, is a star RB who was just inserted at safety on the play.
kid played the ball instead of the tackle. ouch.

It’s about coaching and training. When the ball is thrown, on defense one player is designated for the tackle, one for the ball to knock it down, and another to go behind the play as safety. At minimum. There are teams that practise this or some variation of it and coaches who have gone entire careers without giving up such a “Hail Mary” play.

we practice knock them out and stomp on them. if they are still trying to or have a chance to win at the end, you aren’t doing your job properly.

1) that onside kick was the luckiest play ever. cant beleive they recovered it.
