We’ll Probably Try to See The Blind Side
1-liner, Movies, NFL November 18th. 2009, 1:50pmThe Blind Side: Haven’t heard many folks talking about this upcoming football movie – except to make fun of Sandra Bullock, who really is a poor man’s Julia Roberts, if that’s how Hollywood is trying to peg her. The movie is based on the book by talented writer Michael Lewis (who also wrote Moneyball). Nick Saban is one of the college football coaches who makes a cameo. If we don’t see The Blind Side this weekend, it’ll be difficult to wedge it in – The Road is a must-see Thanksgiving weekend, then there’s a big weekend on college football, followed by holiday parties leading up to Christmas. In other news, Fight Club turned 10 yesterday. [Baltimore Sun]

Sandra Bullock has never been good lucking, and is even worse an actress. How she managed even to get in anything more than a Tampax commercial amazes me. What an overrated bitch.

Jesus, my spelling has gone to shit!
November 18th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
Don’t see that after a day of eating, drinking and being merry. You’ll exit the multiplex looking for the nearest set of Bics.

Seconded on Sandra Bullock not being anything special. I’ve never found her attractive in any circumstance.

Don’t forget about Fulmer making an appearance!
November 18th, 2009 at 2:03 pm
It is against my religion to watch a movie that features cameos from Nick Saban, Philip Fulmer, and Lou Holtz.
/and Sandra Bullock
November 18th, 2009 at 2:03 pm
I cried, but mostly because they sucked so bad.

Don’t forget about Fulmer making an appearance!
Is there a scene in a Twinkie factory?
November 18th, 2009 at 2:05 pm
Seriously? I think he’s great and The Road is perfect for him. Reading the book it wasn’t hard at all picturing him in it.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:05 pm
I like the idea for this movie, but I will only watch 2 movies this holiday season where Hollywood destroys the book (sherlock holmes and The Road)
November 18th, 2009 at 2:06 pm
I love Sandra Bullock, especially as she ages. Moreso than Julia Roberts.
I hope this movie ends with Oher getting benched in Baltimore, though, because I think he might, and I think that would be funny.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:06 pm
Can Viggo carry a movie? I dont think so
November 18th, 2009 at 2:06 pm

November 18th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
Eastern Promises is a creepy movie. Really had a weird feeling after seeing it. Ultimately I thought it was boring as all shit, but Viggo was incredible in it. Kind of like There Will Be Boredom. Amazing acting performance: Boring as fuck movie.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
I thought he carried TLOTR.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
i think that settles that.
and for what was a family orientated movie, Hildago wasn’t bad.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
i heard sandra bullock bangs the football player
November 18th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
Great book, movie will probably be shit.
Preemptive that guy
I’m avoiding this one because the Sandra Bullock is a must-avoid and, it’s kind of annoying how they gave Oher the Simple Jack treatment. I met him before the draft last year, and he was anything but a big quiet oaf.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:19 pm
Sort of but not really related movie item.
How in the f’ is Nick Cage broke and owing the IRS 6mil+?
After Leaving Las Vegas, the guy should have quit.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:20 pm
I love Viggo Mortensen. I think he’s great. I have to read this book before the movie lands, though.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:20 pm

November 18th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
And the two sex scenes were just a liiiiiittle bit awkward.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
i am going to try something….
Thomas Jefferson was a great president.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
he started raping her and then she was like ok!
November 18th, 2009 at 2:27 pm
they were more realistic, that’s why it was awkward.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
mark mangino has a cameo and has a torrid love affair with sandra bullock
November 18th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
The stairway rape was unnecessary. And holy fucking bush Batman.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
Good movie, History of Violence. Unsettling. Ed Harris is the man.
If you don’t like creepy uncomfortable sex scenes, don’t watch movies with Maria Bello in them.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
coming from the fully grown adult male who thinks gossip girl is must see tv this should tell you that History of Violence is a badass flick
November 18th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
the sex scene in Monster’s Ball was far more inappropriate, it just happened to have Halle Berry in it.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
Most awkward sex scene ever: Enemies at the Gate
November 18th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
amen, brotha.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
Trust me – if you ever saw Sandra live your opinion would change. She is f-ing gorgeous, nice, and unassuming. Flew her from TX to CA ans she is just down right a babe.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:32 pm

November 18th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
Says the guy who thinks Gossip Girl is top-notch television.
November 18th, 2009 at 3:02 pm
I thought Eastern Promises was good and I liked History of Violence, thoguh none of them rival Fight Club. That shit was awesome.
November 18th, 2009 at 3:38 pm
I think Gossip Girl is must-see TV…and also think History of Violence is one of the 10 best movies this decade.
