We laughed at the barbs Tony Kornheiser fired in the direction of Mike Wise the other day. And then Wise responded. “Tony Kornheiser lost the right to be an ombudsman about good journalism in this town … the moment when he took Dan Snyder’s money. He lost it the moment when he began calling out fans who chanted tasteless things about his new boss in his suite. something tells me kornheiser is at the stage of life — kids both out of college, retired with cushy, high-paying part-time gigs — that he doesn’t have to be “bought” by danny snyder.

This fight is all about getting people to listen to 106.7. The station is new and what better way than to create some fake fighting. The Skins suck and what better way to encourage fans to listen to radio shows about how sucky the team is than create fake arguments.

Both of these guys have some issues, but I read the entirity of Wise’s comments on the link, and HE ABSOLUTELY MURDERED TK. TK built up a lot of goodwill with a prolific writing career, but he’s throwing buckets of water over the deck right now, trying to keep things afloat.

Miss Universe tape is half true. It is Miss T&T but not Miss Japan. Still both girls are gorgeous and the tape is good stuff.
I have a friend who works with Kornheiser at PTI and another who has had dinner with Kornheiser. Both say that he is a dick and very arrogant. The PTI guy says Wilbon is very nice to everyone that works there. I always liked his writing but don’t get what his problem with Wise is.

MS621- I think Prejean came out and said she was 17 when she made them. She could very easily be lying about the age when she made them to get Vivid and anyone else who has a copy to not release the tape Vivid and anyone else who may have a copy may know that she was 18. I cannot believe they would risk child porn charges. Vivid must be pretty certain that she was not a minor when they were made.

Tony’s post was a home-run about the reality of the douchebag paid-for cock-sucking Washington media, mentioning again for those of you not aware that I lived in that area 7.5 years, but this response outing Kornheiser for the shill he appears to be is a grand slam! It also proves that in Washington all-around the circle-jerking fuckfest is bigger than even I had thought well beyond the political halls.
There is no real dissent in authoritarian Washington all ways around well beyond sports, and that’s why ultimately I left and won’t go back even for a visit.
It really is a police state in that area, and if you live there and don’t know that, you need to spend some serious time outside of it other than at Dewey Beach.

That explains one hell of a lot about “sports talk” radio in DC that NEVER condemns Snyder just like the cocksucking local TV media there and really, really sucks more than in other town I lived in including even the homer radio here in Philadelphia.
There was another station that used to play the West Coast and East Coast feeds of Fox radio when I was there until May 2005, but I think they are no longer around, not to mention Sporting News radio. But the good stuff is mostly on satellite any more now.

Disclamer: I am fully in the tank for Kornheiser.
The shots TK fired at Wise were no different that the shots he has fired at Sally Jenkins (who he allegedly likes) for columns he doesn’t agree with, except TK didn’t mention Wise by name. And while he hasn’t called for villagers to rush Snyder’s home with pitchforks and torches, he hasn’t let Snyder off the hook for the abortion that is this Redskin season.
TK has sent subliminal shots at Wise since he came to DC, possibly becasue he basically took TK’s columnist slot at the Post. Wise also took TK’s spot on Full Court Press, the local sports talk show George Michael produced for the NBC affliate before Michael got the boot.
