So if Suzy Kolber Was …
1-liner, ESPN, Media Gossip/Musings November 20th. 2009, 5:00pmSuzy Kolber: Allegedly, the Monday Night Football sideline reporter was having an affair with a producer on the show. Biggie? No biggie? Anyway, he was supposedly married with four kids. As a reader noted, Kolber had a baby last March. Hmmmm. At the time, her father adamantly refused to say who the baby’s father was. We’re unable to find any further information. Feel free to draw your own conclusions. [UPDATE: A source at ESPN points out that the relationship has been over for "years," with an emphasis on "years."]

“You said the Bacon Lube had a spermicide in it!!! You ASSHOLE!!!!”
November 20th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
tough year for sideline reporters
November 20th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Two female sports personalities I never got: danica patrick and suzy kolber.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Feel free to draw your own conclusions.
I think you pretty much drew THE conclusion that you’d like everyone to draw.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Well, ma’am, you were clearly notified prior to and at the time of receipt that this was a beta test, and there were still some things to be worked out. By the way, it’s not Namath’s, is it?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:05 pm
i thought she liked girls
November 20th, 2009 at 5:06 pm
Jeez, what’s in the water up in Bristol?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:07 pm
Beat me to the punchline.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:07 pm
Definitely not saltpeter.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:10 pm
i thought she liked girls
So you’re saying by extension that you thought Joe Namath likes lesbians?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:11 pm
i guess so lol
November 20th, 2009 at 5:11 pm
Damn. It seems as though everyone at ESPN is fucking someone they work with. I wonder who SVP is banging. My guess is Wendy Nix with the occasional hummer from Sage Steel.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:14 pm
maybe this is why ESPN makes shit up. so blogs wont just put shit out there. it was wrong when deadspin did it is wrong if you do it tbl. this is as wrong as a screen door on a submarine.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:14 pm
I dont know with SVP has always been like this but lately he looks like an AIDS patient
November 20th, 2009 at 5:14 pm
these stories give me the skeeves/skeevies/willies whatever word I’m looking for.
tbl: you should be above this crap, imo. It happened years ago, no one knows, piece of shit Deadspin barely mentions it at the bottom of a post, and now you post it also.
Yours and Deadspin’s posts will now be linked to hundreds of other blogs, and it will be well known across the blogosphere by Saturday afternoon, reopening a wound for two families that may or may not have been able to put it behind them.
God hope you never do something in your life you don’t want known, as you and Daulerio are probably making some people’s enemies lists as we speak.
/falls off high horse
November 20th, 2009 at 5:14 pm
SVP is probably banging anyone he wants to, whenever he wants to
November 20th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
if not with
November 20th, 2009 at 5:16 pm
I hear what you’re saying Jpq, but don’t cheat on your wife and you don’t have to worry about this. If you want to fuck other women/men, but you’re married you can A) not fuck them or B) get divorced so that you can or you can C) try to have your cake and eat it, too. The dude obviously chose C and that usually gets you in trouble.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:17 pm
SVP is probably banging Andy North
November 20th, 2009 at 5:19 pm
I see no issue with posting this stuff. These people are public figures. TBL is simply reporting news here, he is not tracking down interviews with some hotel maid who saw them together. Again, if you don’t want dirty laundary to be in the public, make sure yours is clean.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:20 pm
SVP is probably banging Andy North
It took 5 comments for us to progress from SVP has looked like an AIDS patient lately to SVP bangs dudes. Truly we are at the pinnacle of internet class.
/gets kicked by high horse.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:22 pm
So I shouldn’t add Mike Tirico next is what you are saying?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:22 pm
I’d say the affair stuff is fair game, but the baby speculation is out of bounds, IMO.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:22 pm
Mrejr, was it you who gave us the epic, “wronger than two boys fucking in a chicken wire boat”?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:22 pm
So I shouldn’t add Mike Tirico next is what you are saying?
+1.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
i fail to see how someone banging around on their wife or husband is news? what if you got married would you want to see the news “blogger known as godsofthegridiron might have fucked this girl[show picture of this girl ]” with your wife or husband watching? just because those people are on tv giving us the news doe not mean their personal lives are our business. this post is garbage.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Suzy Kolber parties.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
yessir
November 20th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
If a post is put up in forest, and then contradicted with an update 15 minutes later, what is the sound of one hand clapping?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
I didn’t even see that part. Yeah, that’s a little off-putting. Though after reading TBL’s insane KKK thread I guess he is just having an off day.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
gods: I think if Frank is banging Margaret from HR at your place, it isn’t being written about on the two of the most widely read sports blogs on the internet.
They already received personal and work-related scorn and embarrassment, like anyone would. This is above and beyond because they happen to work at ESPN.
agree w/ lefty on the baby thing also. speculating on the father? weak
November 20th, 2009 at 5:25 pm
SVP is busy leaving voicemails.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5a4p3×091A
Still the best anchor on ESPN and he still gets down to College Park during b-ball season.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:25 pm
Eh, probably hitting a lot of 5’s and 6’s.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:26 pm
Yes.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
And Dewey Beach in the summer.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
+1
November 20th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
Andrews?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
I’m not in the public, though. I’m not saying it is right, but those in the public give up certain things in exchange for the money and the fame. Annonymity is one of them.
I understand what you are saying, I do. But the simple solution is for so-and-so to not fuck around. Get divorced or don’t cheat. It is not that difficult.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
From your experience, where is she on the Notre Dame scale?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
GotG – Do you not have any playoff football to cover tonight?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
She’s like a 3 right now. Looks like Helen Hunt humped a J. Crew catalog.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
Third’d
November 20th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
Yikes, feel worse for the stool.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
If “my place” was ESPN, SI, CNN, Fox News, etc… it would be. Right or wrong, that is part of the deal when you work at the aforementioned places.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
I am legally not allowed to comment on this.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
That’s actually the topic of the next Maury.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
it is even more simple for people to mind their own fucking business.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
I’m more curious as to how exactly somebody managed to interview Kolber’s father for (apparently) the singular purpose of trying to get the baby daddy’s name. Seems like a good way to get punched in the face.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
Meh, he’s got high standards, he said so himself
November 20th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
Lovett hosting East Jackson. Get to chat it up with Muschamp’s older brother. Dude is a cool cat.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
I demand an apology!
November 20th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Maybe Darrell is the father and that’s why he punched Brad!
/if I’m wrong I’ll just update it from a source at MTV in fifteen minutes.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Nice. Lovett’s setting is cool as shit, right on the river. I’m afraid my guys (Brookwood) aren’t making it past tonight.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Touche.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Lovett is nice, but Westminster looks like a Ivy League campus. It’s ridiculous. Lovett’s got a couple of 3-star kids (according to Rivals) so it should be nice. I know the coaches and I know thier SID which makes things much easier for sure.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
I’m not in the public, though. I’m not saying it is right, but those in the public give up certain things in exchange for the money and the fame. Annonymity is one of them.
If it’s some politician or some Hollywood star basing their career on their image, I’d agree. A talking head that happens to work at the one place Deadspin is obsessed with? I don’t think it’s the same thing.
You could go to the visiting team hotel every night before a game and find 50% of the men walking in with someone to cheat on their spouse with (my son has been telling me stories about Orlando-lol). They’re WAY more well known, yet it’s not known to the general public.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
See, that’s the question no one’s asking. Much like Brad and co., he was definitely topless for the interview.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
new fedor poster http://twitpic.com/qa2zp
November 20th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
And costs about the same, too.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:38 pm
Those aren’t reported because the minute a reporter does, his access is gone and he will be blacklisted.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
No joke. When I coached golf at Galloway, we’d have some practice matches with both Lovett and Westminster, and they’d just kick the shit out of us. Life probably doesn’t suck if you go to one of those two schools.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:40 pm
Tell me about it. That place is overflowing with money.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:42 pm
I’ve interviewed more Lovett kids than Westminster ones, but all of them seem like nice dudes. Very well spoken. You should see all of their college choices. Yale, Penn, Duke, UNC, etc… I will most likely never have the money to put my kids in a school like that, but I bet it’s worth it. The resources they have are just astounding when compared to a public high school.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:43 pm
When you’re in high school, those are the kids to party with..
Yup, it’s an expensive sport.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:44 pm
Yale, Penn, Duke, UNC,
Pick the one that is not like the others.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:45 pm
Those aren’t reported because the minute a reporter does, his access is gone and he will be blacklisted.
exactly. what can happen to sites like TBL and Deadspin? They get more readers
ah, the good old days

November 20th, 2009 at 5:46 pm
A teacher in my high school had her kids in Westminster (her husband was an ex-falcons player).
And she actually had the audacity to tell us often how much better everything about that school was… dumb bitch.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Can’t blame the man for that. I spend at least a few weekends at Dewey every summer. IMO it is the best place to day drink.
November 20th, 2009 at 5:50 pm
Ahh yes, the stereotypical private school snob. Gotta love those people.
November 20th, 2009 at 9:19 pm
Hard to think that this is news to be published. I guess it is all about page views. I could care less about all of this and more interested in actual news stories. I guess once one gets to my age (40) this is all masturbation. I prefer news stories – if not you might as well label yourself in the modicom of perez hilton. Start photoshopping pix etc. I understand the angle of exposing ESPN but I dont understand the reason to do so. Just be glad that you dont have peeps watching you 24/7. BTW – Dewey Beach is a party.
November 20th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
Denverpilot – You know who probably cares about this post the most? This comment might be out of bounds and met with criticism, but … anyone that wanted that sideline gig but couldn’t get it.
hypothetical: You’re a pilot (i assume). you want the gig ahead of you, but a guy has the spot locked. is he good? up for debate. guess who he’s “hanging out with?” An important person who may or may not have influence on the job.
November 21st, 2009 at 12:18 am
This isn’t sports, it isn’t news, and it isn’t entertainment. It’s pure gossip and it seems to be agenda driven towards ESPN. I’m sure there are affairs going on in corporate offices all across this country. I just wonder why we don’t see this “concern” about the work environment in regards to other companies?
November 21st, 2009 at 10:14 am
she went to my highschool.
