forcier is turrible.

Forcier doesn’t want to go to a bowl game. He’s going to end this season his way.

fetch: pro hoops is turrible. college hoops is turrible until around February 15th. Before that, I won’t watch 10 minutes total. They have ruined hoops with the early entrance deal. The “stars” (one and done) play to get drafted, yet aren’t ready to play the NBA game, but won’t stay 4 years to improve their game and make college hoops better.
chicken or the egg discussion for the ages

That’s true. Just let kids go right from high school. Coaches kill themselves to recruit kids that don’t make a difference.

As bad as the Notre Dame defense is, I really thought Forcier was impressive in that game and thought Michigan was on the upswing. That being said he’s regressed considerably since and there’s talks of him transferring if he’s benched. Maybe him and Sam McGuffie can have fun together at Rice.

the kids that are truly special in HS (LeBron, Kobe, Garnett, Howard, others): I’d let them try and get drafted, and then, if if’s not where they thought, let them go to school and improve.
The rest aren’t ready for the NBA, and the problem is, they need a TRUE minor league to develop them, like MLB and the NHL have. Euro and NBDL leagues haven’t done what they want to help US 17-20 year old kids develop for the NBA.

let forcier leave. robinson has something special about him. i think forcier read some of his own press clippings after his early success and it went to his head..

Who’s the kid who’s bypassing college to play in the D-League? I’m interested to see how that turns out.

The problem with the D League is that the teams are more concerned with winning than developing players

my point is they go to school for one year, they come to the NBA, and 9 out of 10 still can’t do shit. I’m not saying they would skip college en masse. If there was a $100,000 year NBDL league for HS kids that don’t give a shit about school, there might be though.
My point more was how shitty the quality of play is, not what these kids would do (they’re taking the cash, obviously)

Forcier shows what happens when you get blown up 10x a game. He’s skilled but not smart. If he keeps taking hits like that – which aren’t the lineman’s fault b/c he holds the ball so long, he won’t have the body or brain cells to continue.
T. PRYOR – 2 BIG TEN TITLES… 2 WINS OVER MICHIGAN! HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
