Fighting Irish quarterback Jimmy Clausen reportedly suffered two black eyes in a South Bend bar fight at 2:30 AM Sunday Morning after ND’s loss to UConn. No details have emerged, so we can neither confirm nor deny he provoked the fight by flaunting his high school state championship rings. Presumably, the swelling must go down for him to play next weekend. (Chicago Breaking Sports News)
Update: Joe Schad is reporting Clausen was sucker-punched.

See, I’m one of those guys on here who’s kinda realistic with my teams. While I want Purdue to win, they’re always kind of a 2nd tier program, and I know that, so when a Duke comes in, I expect a loss almost automatically. Even this year, I’m excited they’re ranked so high, but it’s hard for me to think of them as potentially “elite”
You don’t ever see me talking smack on here regarding my teams. I would look like a fool if I did.
