Ballin’: The Thunder Might Be For Real
NBA, Video November 25th. 2009, 11:15am
Oklahoma City 104, Utah 94: Rub the sleep out of your eyes – the Thunder won in Utah and are now 8-7. Perhaps they have officially arrived a year ahead of schedule? Thabo Sefolosha is fast becoming a defensive menace – he held Deron Williams to 10 points and OKC forced 24 turnovers. Wondering what to do after a Black Friday of shopping? Thunder vs. Brandon Jennings, 9:30 pm.
Philadelphia 107, Washington 108: How the mighty have fallen – Elton Brand can’t be fully healthy yet: 1-for-9, 4 points in 27 minutes. The Wiz won their fourth game of the season on the strength of 32 points and 14 boards from Antwan Jamison. Lou Williams missed a jumper at the buzzer.
Golden State 111, Dallas 103: Winning a road game in which they only used six players? The Warriors only suited up eight players, and were missing coach Don Nelson (pneumonia). Because three guys went the entire 48 minutes, this could be the most impressive result of the season. The Mavs fell to 10-4.
New Jersey 87, Denver 101: This tweet from Chris Douglas Roberts sums it all up – “Worst time in my life. Depressed & miserable.” The Nets are 0-14 and probably not beating Portland tonight. Sacramento on Friday should be the one they have a shot at. If they don’t beat the Kings …
New York 90, LA Lakers 100: Remember when this game was actually fun and meant something? East vs. West? We may have to banish the Knicks from ballin’ for the rest of the year. Really. As a longtime fan, it is difficult to visit the box score and see that they were outrebounded 60-36. We still believe in D’Antoni … but he can’t work magic without players.

sad. What about the Nets TBL? You think they will win in either Portland or Sacramento?
D Wade in town tonight. big game on ESPN. Orlando vs ATL tomorrow night on TNT. ATL should be rested after having 4 days off

On TV? Excellent. Get ready to be abused by Mario Chalmers
/may or may not happen

I’d love to see the numbers on teams with 4 days off. It always seems like teams with too much rest have a lot of rust and play like garbage.
/I have no empirical evidence of it. More of a gut feel…
//The Miami and ATL games should be a good time against Orlando…

the wizards are terrible. flip really needs to figure out his rotation, asap.

Bucks/Thunder on ESPN Friday night. Unreal.
November 25th, 2009 at 11:30 am
Funny thing is, I think I’m actually more likely to watch tonight than had it been a more marquee matchup.

not Cleveland when they played Orlando
Get ready to be abused by Mario Chalmers

Bashing jameer, Irish?
his defense was so bad at the start of the season. He was getting abused by opposing defenders. hope he recovers and comes back 100%

Who is Orlando’s PG now, Irish? Someone Mario will be able to lock down, that’s for sure.
Still not as good of a defender as Russ Robinson was.

White Chocolate Fetch. Veteran PG with the sick handle. All SVG wants him to do is manage the game and limit turnovers

0-14. How does Lawrence Frank still have a job?
November 25th, 2009 at 12:01 pm
he’s still in the league? Awesome, I am stoked for this game tonight now.

Utah looked like garbage last night. How many times have they been booed on their home floor?
November 25th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Jwill does fine dwade just said that he misses him on truehoop today. Your right Irish about jameers d but I don’t think chalmers could exploit him though
November 25th, 2009 at 12:07 pm
Other than the early 70’s, when exactly did Knicks/Lakers games mean anything?
November 25th, 2009 at 12:27 pm
ill- is Jamison out with an injury still?
November 25th, 2009 at 12:29 pm
Vince Carter and Jason Williams on the same team!

@sparty – no, he’s been back the last two games and been the most productive (still no defensive play) player on the floor, by far.

SM, told me no one could take me serious when i said Jameer Nelson was gonna have a hard time staying healthy
/just sayin.
