What’s the Pat Summitt Story?
Uncategorized August 17th. 2007, 11:13am
It’s a cop-out to do a second round-up, but there are three interesting tidbits that you should be aware of. We don’t want to turn them into big posts (it’s Friday, people), so we’ve kind of blended them all together here:
* Legendary Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt files for divorce after 27 years of marital bliss. We’re steering clear of this story altogether. You know how sometimes you’d rather not break a story because it’s too dangerous? (ie – Who bought Mike Vick’s house?) We heard a rumor about this split a month ago and considered pursuing it … but common sense told us to let it go. Surely some other media folks are aware of this story.
* Did anyone else know that class act Tracy McGrady was the baby daddy to some random woman named Pearl Vega in Sarasota, Florida? She made $32,971 in 2005, and it sounds like she wants big bucks for having his kid. T-Mac (in 2006, he married his girlfriend of 10 years) is trying to get all the court documents sealed … it sounds like he may have a $75 million fortune or something.
* Paid attendance for Wednesday’s game in which Beckham scored and tallied an assist? Under 10,000. Apparently, 8,000 free tickets were given away.

No game against UConn and a divorce.
Summitt needs to leave Tennesse for the relationship ending trifecta.

Since when did Huggy Lowdown get on with TBL?
I feel bad for Summitt and T-Mac, as they will both be aired out during the season about these issues.

What the dill pickle, is everything kosher? Why is it that Women’s Basketball can only make this blog for off the court controversy?

Hey Darrell, it might be because the action (or lack thereof) on the court isn’t worth writing about! I’ve tried my damnedest to get into women’s basketball, pro or college, and to me it’s just unwatchable.
So, who did buy Vick’s house after all???

How sweet would it be if it comes out that Summitt stole Geno Auriemma’s wife.

Am I the only one whom envisions a Bear Trap hiding underneath that waaay-to-short-for-Pat Summit Cheerleading skirt?

Who did buy Mike Vick’s house in Virginia?
August 17th, 2007 at 3:54 pm
The purchaser of Vick’s house is still under wraps. There are many, many theories about who purchased it. Most of it is pure speculation. But some of have surmised that perhaps it was someone connected to the Feds … which would have helped nail Vick’s ass.

You’re right, it is purely speculation. Now you’re ESPN, congrats.

It’s been ESPN lite around here ever since the Cowherd incident.

In Woman’s NCAA basketball, the cream rises to the top during tournament time. The women’s programs are very, very big, which is why Auriemma, Summitt and most Stringer of Rutgers were signed to huge and long-term contracts. ESPN, Foxnet and CBS have been adding more games to their college schedules. The talent has improved immensely over the last 10-years as women are taller and more athletic.
