College Football November 28th. 2009, 3:56pm
For the five ranked teams playing in the early games today, it has not been pretty. Barring a fourth quarter miracle from Oklahoma State, it appears only No. 4 TCU will survive.
Butch Davis and the Tar Heels left too many points on the board (goal line fumble in the first; blocked FG with 5 minutes left) in Raleigh, losing 28-27 to NC State. South Carolina, with help from some tantalizing techno, pounded Clemson 34-17. Ole Miss followed Clemson’s lead, and as it currently stands, the Sooners lead the Cowboys 20-0 with less than eight minutes to go.
As someone who’s personal rooting interests were crushed by mid-September, these hilarious upsets are welcomed and embraced with open arms. Keep ‘em comin’.
