Was Kobe Right About Shaq and Other Women?
Uncategorized September 5th. 2007, 12:56pm
Yes, we’ve seen the TMZ report that claims Shaq is divorcing his wife due to shady handling of his money. The Miami Herald also claims there is a sealed prenup, so we may never get details. But we fully expect his wife, Shaunie, to respond in the coming days, and one wonders: Will all that junk Kobe talked in 2003 come out in court? Surely you remember Kobe’s classic line to police while he was being questioned for allegedly raping a Colorado hotel employee. Have you forgotten? Here’s what police told the New York Daily News at the time: “Bryant stated he should have done what Shaq does. Bryant stated that Shaq would pay his women not to say anything. He stated Shaq has paid up to a million dollars already for situations like this.”
For what it’s worth, Shaq is one of our favorite athletes in sports now, and we’ll be following this story closely.

Good memory bank pull, TBL; that will be an interesting story to follow.

To me, the question, then and now, wasn’t whether or not Kobe was telling the truth– rather is was “Is Kobe a rat-faced little bitch?”
The answer, of course, is yes.

Shaq sucks, I have always despised him. He is a big, goofy, fat idiot and the most overrated player in the league. Anyone as big as him should be able to play how he does. And don’t give me the Manute Bol or Shawn Bradley comparisons because they were skinny little stick figures.

I live my life under the assumption that all NBA players cheat on their wives. And the wives know this and understand that is how the lifestyle works.
Shaunie probably hit an escalator clause in her prenup and figured she had enough of the Big Dope and decided to cash out.

I agree with mcbias… Way to pull that one out! Seems like that was decades ago! I also agree w/ flubby… Yes and Yes on both counts. Shaq was cheating on his wife, just like a large percent of pro athletes do, and yes Kobe is a sorry “rat-faced little bitch”.

Shaq may be big and strong- hence better than most generic big guys. But he also has amazing footwork, could once run the floor on fast breaks, has a nose for the ball, and can take up paint with quick help that manute and bradley couldnt… I was never a fan, but the guy could use his size swiftly for a big man. He is also a beloved teamate and knows how to handle being the face of the franchise. Love him or hate him, he is as talented as he is naturally-gifted.

Kobe selling out a teammate? You must be kidding, Kobe is the greatest teammate, and person the NBA has ever seen.

A lo t of us ride Kobe for dropping the dime on Shaq, but when you have the police in your face grilling you and asking you all kinds of question from every way imaginable, some of us would have probably dropped dime too.

The pre-350lb Shaq was incredible to watch. Ran the court like a small forward, was a shot blocking machine, killed on the boards, a 30 and 12 guy every night.
Doug Christie disagrees with the notion that ballers have an arrangement to score some tail on the side.

Whats the over under on alimony payments…gotta make Brady and Leinert’s look like pennies?
September 5th, 2007 at 2:23 pm
Brady & Leinart don’t have to pay alimony. Only child support. Shaq will presumably have to pay both.

If you are pop culture geek like myself, then you read Confessions of a Video Vixen, where Shaq gets her an apartment to live in and has uncomfortable, sweaty skin slappin’ sessions…. Not sure why this hadn’t come up before.

Shaunie should just buy Shaq a pink diamond ring with the money she’s, uh, laundered. Shaq always said he likes jewelry.
oh, and Fuck Shaq… he hasn’t been a relevant athlete since he talked his way out of L.A.

This tid bit was on move the needle. “From the mouth of the needle… Does anyone know if Shaq still has his hoe hideaway behind Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles that has been rumored about? I wonder if Shaunie ever found out about the rumored tour of whores running through that place? This is of course just hearsay from 5-6 different people. Good thing the big man is the one filing and not her. Who knows what true stories may arise from the LA haze. So, I guess Karl Malone can hit on her now. He’s a scoring machine.”

Everybody loves the big guy, thats why no matter what he does (within reason of course) everyone will always love him. He’s done a few things that would stick with other athletes but they havent stuck to him, like his “ching chong chow” line when he was asked what he was gonna say to Yao the first time they met. But it is what it is.

Yea who thought Kobe was lying??? The point was Kobe broke man rule # 2 don’t rat your boys out! # 1 is don’t try to have sex with your boys!!! In fact for most of the interview if you read the transcript Kobe was so dumb he thought they were just asking him routine questions not priming him for an arrest! Shaq had sex with Supahead among many others!
