Cuban, the Cubs and … Hello

We’re watching PTI and they just flashed this photo on the screen – it’s Mark Cuban at the Cubs-Reds game last night, hanging out with an unidentified female (ps – Nice work, Cubes). Nice move by the Chicago Sun-Times to eye the team’s future owner (yeah, right) in the stands and give him some facetime in the paper.

What do you mean, “yeah, right”? Cuban owning the Cubs — or any other baseball team, for that matter — would be the best thing that has happened to the sport in the last decade.

It would be great for Cuban to own a team. Just don’t think MLB will let it happen.

There’s a reason MLB has been surpassed by the NFL…management. MLB won’t allow thoughtful, creative people (like Cuban) to own a team and make the sport’s 3rd most marketable team interesting and relevant. Does anyone remember the Mavericks before Cuban got into town? ‘Nuff said.

I am sorry but MLB is still with the “good ol boy” System. MLB NEEDS TO BE SAVED RIGHT NOW. With all the (*) and questions about players and cheating going on in sports, you cant tell me that Cubes as a owner wouldn’t help. Plus it would bring in more money for baseball! How dumb are these owners not to see that.
