Mike Comrie signed with the Islanders this summer for $3.375 million. A good chunk of change for a guy the general public had never heard of prior to his romancing of Hilary Duff this summer. After he pays the lawyer and the agent, and money comes out for taxes, he’s probably pocketing in the neighborhood of $2 million. So should we be surprised that he just bought his girlfriend of a few months a Merecedes that cost over $100,000? Perhaps. At this rate, they’ll be married on New Year’s Eve, and she’ll be pregnant by Valentine’s Day.

Comrie is not only pulling in over $3 million and and has a piece of ass girlfriend but his father is also a billionaire so perhaps that $100K doesn’t quite hurt him as much as it might say you or me.

Yeah, Comrie buying his girl a 100k Benz is like me taking the wife to Chipotle for dinner. No need for Mikey to pack a lunch for the next few months or anything.

You really need to avoid the Mike Comrie stories………this is the third time you’ve forgotten that his father is a billionaire. Add on that for seven consecutive stories you claimed he played for the Rangers. Your “editor” needs a new job.
