Mike Patrick’s Zeitgeist Moment
Uncategorized September 24th. 2007, 1:11pmWe already linked to that bizarre Mike Patrick moment Saturday night when, before a crucial overtime play, he elected to bring up Britney Spears. Random and funny.
Mike Patrick has important things on his mind (Awful Announcing)
Other cool stuff we’re going to cram in here: Daniel Snyder bashes the media (big surprise!), Mascot madness, Monica Bellucci topless , and a dude getting undressed in like seven seconds (safe for work and not gay at all).

At least the other commentator is disgusted by the question and can barely cover his contempt. Hey, it’s just overtime of a game featuring two ranked teams, and you’re the play-by-play guy, no big deal. Mike Patrick is retarded.

Huh? So anything that involves male nudity must be “gay?” Seriously: Grow up.

It’s better he talked about Britney over what he was really thinking, which is where the nearest Bojangles was located.

Yeah, it was an odd thing to say but the guy was just trying to be funny and make a point about what a huge play it was and how you couldn’t actually be thinking about anything else. I was watching and at first was like, “huh??”, but then realized he was just trying to be funny. Wasn’t that big of a deal.
I will take Patrick’s Britney comments over him being teamed with Theisman and Paul MaGuire anyday. During the broadcast I was actually thinking how I enjoyed listening to Patrick do college football. I never thought I would enjoy that guy again after suffering all those years on Sunday nights….

Spidey – you hit on all points.
Patrick was just trying to be funny.
And he’s a good broadcaster. I think he’s better doing the college game.
I don’t know if Blackledge didn’t understand the joke or was just being a jerk.

I swear, yesterday when Peter King was talking about Peyton Manning, he meant to say ‘particular’ and said ‘testicular’. Sweet.

PK said something about Brett Favre’s statistics. And almost said, “statesticles.” Me and my buddy laughed.
