Ricky Can Go Back to the Tent (and the Weed)
Uncategorized November 27th. 2007, 4:09pm
That was fast: the Palm Beach Post is reporting that misunderstood Dolphins running back Ricky Williams’ season is over after just six carries. Steelers LB Lawrence Timmons stepped on Ricky’s shoulder, a muscle got torn, and the former Heisman Trophy winner will need four months to heal. Plenty of time to grab score some dank buds and a one-way ticket to Katmandu. **Oops, forgot to add: required reading for Ricky is Exit Ghost, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, and an oldie but a goodie, The Alchemist.

I’m going to grab score me some dank buds.
The best part about the play was that the three talking nimrods kept jibber jabbering about how hard he got hit when it was completely obvious that Timmons stomped on the back of his shoulder hard.

The inventor of Gatorade died, TBL I am sure a post is forthcoming.

Bummer for Ricky. That was a stupid way to get hurt.
If it is any consolation, that is a solid beard he is sporting in that photo. He might want to grow that badboy back.

Anyone else think Ricky shaved his head so they can’t drug test his hair follicles? Weed stays in your hair for months.

Bong Hits for Ricky.

I’m sure he has some peyote lined up for this weekend to ease the pain…

Well, at least he can say he tried. I’m guessing this will be the end of a disappointing career. So much potential wasted on someone who preferred to be, well, wasted.
On a side note, I had heard so many good things about the Alchemist, and then I read it… I found it rather odd. Oh well.

The ganj will heal that shoulder in no time. Or at least make it hurt less when he tries to take a rip and masturbate at the same time.

What you smoke?
That Ricky Williams, that Ricky Williams.
TBL- why dont you do an expose on how Bill Walton is the single largest contributer to NORML? Honestly.

I loved Ricky when he did interviews with his helmet on. However, that bees nest beard is winning me over.

How long ago was it that Ricky was going to have to pay $8 Mill if he wanted to stay retired?
This is the best case scenario for him…he gets to keep all of his loot…show up….get injured….go on the DL….and get that much closer to keeping his $8 Mill…which is accruing about $1 Mill a year in interest…i think the dolphins have him through 08…then he can retire for good, with another few million in his pocket…or will he still owe?
Who can shed the light?

I’ve got no problems with weed, Ricky can smoke it all he wants. Bill Walton and Iverson too.

Amen, TBL.
Ricky will be back next year. If he has supposedly been clean for 18 months he can stay clean through the offseason.
Although, he may be holding out that Miami cuts him and nullifies the contract. I’m merely an armchair lawyer/sports agent so that assumption might not be based in fact.

Roosevelt Colvin out for the season…

I wish people would stop judging Ricky as some pot head. The guy has really legit mental issues, and has been self medicating with weed for the most part.

“Legit mental issues” as in he doesn’t like to take hits from 250lb linebackers anymore.

No, jackass, try severe anxiety. My wife has it and it’s not a joke, it will fuck up your life pretty quickly.
November 28th, 2007 at 8:58 am
Not to make light of anxiety — my wife struggles with it, too — but there are plenty of legal remedies to address it without resorting to marijuana. Williams has all the money in the world to seek out quality help.

I totally agree. The mockery should be of his chosen remedy method, not the core problem.
November 28th, 2007 at 4:58 pm
Yes. Let’s skip all the other 4382908420 legal prescription drugs to jump to the ganja for help with your anxiety. That’s the logical step indeed.
