The Myspace Pages of Sean Taylor’s Killers?
Uncategorized December 1st. 2007, 10:30am
Before we jet off to Costco on this brisk Saturday morning … two disturbing pieces of news. First … looks like the boys in blue have nabbed four people in the murder of Redskins safety. Sean Taylor. The police also appear to have scored a confession. A reader sent us two links to the alleged Myspace pages of these murderers, and it seems like these guys – assuming the Myspace pages are accurate – were obsessed with money (and weed, too). Obviously you’ll need to belong to Myspace to check that link out. The other thing is that the 17-year-old supposedly logged in to his Myspace page yesterday and his mood was “pissed off.” Delinquents. (Update: Someone has sent a Myspace of the third purported killer. This fellow calls himself Lil’ Pakistan. You may want to turn the volume down a notch, it’s heavy on the racial slurts.)
Completely unrelated to Sean Taylor … Kenny Rogers just signed with the Detroit Tigers for $8 million … for just one year. Absurd. Even Tigers fans are saying that’s a bit high. But without a salary cap, what’s the big deal? Who cares if you overpay for somebody? Still, it’s quite disturbing that a mediocre cheater who went 3-4 last year and will be 43 in April is making more than all but one player on the Twins, one player on the Diamondbacks, and every single one of the Devil Rays.

Hey, if NYY can pay Clemens like $28mil for less than a year, why can’t DET give Rogers $8mil for a whole year? They’re both old, they both cheat, so why not?
December 1st, 2007 at 11:16 am
Jeff … Please don’t tell me you are comparing the career accomplishments of Roger Clemens to those of Kenny Rogers. With the exception of them both being cheaters, they have nothing in common.

As a Tigers fan, I’m kinda pissed that they’d throw this kinda cheese at Rogers. I love the fire he brought to the team during their World Series run, but damn, he was out most of last year, and he is getting up there. I’d rather they spend some money on a good closer. Oh yeah I forgot, they already paid Todd ‘Rollercoaster’ Jones a shitload of money. Damn them.

TBL, all I’m saying is they were both old and past their primes and both cheaters. The Yankees were absolutely stupid to throw that kind of money at Clemens and they got exactly what I expected him to deliver… Jack squat.
Living in the past is what got the Yankees into the situation they’ve been in for the last 5 years or so. That Clemens deal proved it better than I ever could. $28mil for a guy who only has an effect on 1 out of 5 games, and ended up going 6-6 in 18 games.

“Miami-Dade County police Director Robert Parker said the suspects didn’t expect Taylor to be home when they broke in early Monday, but the Redskins safety was recuperating from a knee injury and had returned from Washington. When Taylor surprised them, he was shot.”
If Sean hadn’t been exposed to the gang culture of Miami, he’d never been killed. Bungled burglaries, committed by knucklehead teenagers, never happen to Penn St alumni.

Folks, the Kris Benson contract from a few years ago screwed up the starting point for fifth starters (something like 3 years, 24 million — when no one else was offering more than 3 million per year). You can blame Jim Duquette.
December 1st, 2007 at 1:23 pm
Gansta – Are you totally buying what the police are saying? Even after Taylor’s mom’s cryptic, ‘i have my theories’ line? And his buddy Antrel Rolle’s ‘this wasn’t a burglary’ line?
And is there an explanation for the knife left on his bed eight days earlier?
December 1st, 2007 at 1:23 pm
Those are definitely the MySpace pages of the suspects. The mugshots released by Miami-Dade police look just like those convicts (yes, they all have several previous run-ins with the law).

All I know is if you’re going to get a nickname based on a predominantly Islamic Asian county, I’d lean more toward Lil’ Tajikistan or Big Azerbaijan (Big Az just has a nice ring to it)

These MySpace pages are disturbing. Did anyone read some of the messages left on their walls? On that CDub guy’s, someone said they hadn’t seen him since Sunday night. Perhaps he was laying low.
I don’t want to sound prejudice, but these kids look like fucking thugs. And they have criminal records to back that up.
December 1st, 2007 at 1:47 pm
can somebody do a screen grab of each of the front myspace pages of the three criminals? Sadly, I do not know how to do that. If you could email them to thebiglead@gmail.com
it would be much-appreciated.

I don’t lead a life of crime, but if I did, I probably wouldn’t have a myspace page documenting the stupid shit I’m involved in. I hire college students to do part-time work and I’ve been known to search for myspace or facebook pages as part of the background check if I’m not totally sold on them. Some of what people put on those pages says a lot about them.
One time, I had a student employee who had pictures of her partying and kissing guys and girls (they all do it nowadays!). She had our business as her place of employment. I told her I didn’t care if she put those pictures up because there was nothing illegal about the activities, but she had to remove our business as her place of employment.

I agree with whoever said it that there is more to this than a mere robbery. That being said, to suppose there were only one set of thugs after him probably doesn’t ring true either after Rolle’s comments. It may all be connected, but I doubt it is a simple straight line from Point A to Point B.

TBL: hold control and press Print Screen or PrtScrn (it might be different depending on keyboard) and than you can paste it into any graphic editing program like Paint or Photoshop and you can then edit it or save it.

Hey jeff…What situation are the Yankees in for “Living in the past?” Last time I checked they have made the playoffs for the past 12 years. And how did you draw your conclusions about the Yankee signing of Clemens? The Yankees made a ton of money last year and saw a large spike in Clemens/Yankee paraphanalia sold. Away attendance during Clemens starts showed a fourteen percent increase in ticket sales. The Yankees were written off for dead before the signing of Clemens. When he made the announcement he was returning to the Yankees, they won six of their next seven. When he arrived in the clubhouse, the Yankees began their remarkable comeback to make the playoffs. And how did Roger Clemens cheat? If you have proof of him cheating…by all means show us. I know you killed your next door neighbor last year but I don’t have any proof of it. Stupid statements like mine sound just like your stupid statements. Next time you post a comment like that, just say what is on your mind. “I Hate The Yankees and Roger Clemens!” Because the Yanks did just fine with the Clemens signing.

Phat – I’m on an apple and don’t have that key.
December 1st, 2007 at 2:28 pm
TBL, then try holding the apple button and use Print Screen or PrtScrn.

Do I buy the police’s story? So NOW, people want to be skeptical of the police? lol I’ll remember that the next time an athlete gets into trouble with the cops.
Is there more to this story? Maybe. But other than a gut feeling, why aren’t you buying this? What FACTS are there to suggest that Taylor’s past has anything to do with it? Why are people so unwilling to believe that this is, more than likely, a burglary gone wrong?
December 1st, 2007 at 2:40 pm
Gangsta – Not so much skeptical of the police … yes, I’m skeptical of it being such an open and shut case. It seems like more information is starting to come out – Taylor’s sister dated the brother of one of the killers … one of them cleaned his lawn or something – but it’s too early in the investigation (for me, anyway) to think of it as a burglary gone wrong.
1) Explain the knife in his bed eight days earlier
2) If you’re just robbing the place, and you go to a door that is locked, do you kick it in and then start shooting? Or do you run?
December 1st, 2007 at 2:43 pm
tbl, i don’t have a myspace so i can’t send you those pics, but i can send you their mugshots off of the wire… does that help?
December 1st, 2007 at 2:43 pm
TBL, if you don’t have a Print Screen button, hold apple shift 4.
December 1st, 2007 at 3:11 pm
TBL, they may have knew him, but that doesn’t mean they were trying to kill him. Since they knew him, they knew where he lived and how to get into his house. I highly doubt these kids were trying to go and kill the guy. I’m sorry to say this, but this “hard” rap music they have on their pages actually suggest that these guys are really just some punks who do all these little petty crimes just so they can look hard. These dudes aren’t going for some hit on Sean Taylor….they just bit off more than they could chew when they saw a machete in the hands of 6′2” 200 pound GROWN ASS man.
December 1st, 2007 at 3:26 pm
Plattsmouthbandwagon, when you’re the Yankees, I would think you would highter expectations than early exits and humiliating collapses against inferior opponents in the early rounds of playoffs. Maybe I’m wrong. Didn’t realize the Yankees cared more about selling merchandise than winning championships, but I guess I was wrong there too. The fact is they paid a TON of money for a guy that had a chance of being a contributing factor in about 10% of their games. I’ve got no problem with Clemens, but if you don’t agree at the very least that he’s way past his prime, you’re on meth. Why can’t Rogers be just as much of an intangible emotional boost to DET as Clemens was to NYY, but at 3 1/2 times less money?
December 1st, 2007 at 3:28 pm
1. Maybe the knife isn’t connected. I know it’s hard to believe, but where are the facts to support a connection.
2. Maybe they weren’t expecting Sean to be home. They think it’s just Jackie and the baby. Open the door and HOLY SHIT is Sean Taylor with a machete! Then a nervous discharge of the gun.
You got questions. I got questions.
1. If it was a hit, then why is Jackie Garcia still alive? Why leave a living witness?
2. He was shot once in the leg and left on the floor bleeding. Why didn’t they finish him off?
Obviously, not all of the facts are in. But there is more reason to believe that this was a bungled robbery than there is to believe it was a hit based on some transgression in Taylor’s past. My question is why is it so easy to believe the latter and not the former? Must be his gang ties back to Miami…
December 1st, 2007 at 3:37 pm
“I would think you would highter expectations than early exits and humiliating collapses against inferior opponents in the early rounds of playoffs.”
The Indians were absolutely not inferior to the Yankees this year. They won the same number of games in the regular season, and were put together much better for the postseason.
December 1st, 2007 at 3:43 pm
Where are the facts to support no connection to the knife? And I never said it was a hit on Taylor. I don’t think anyone did.
Your questions …
1) No clue. Speculate away.
2) Because they’re rookies? Because he yelled that they called the police? Absolutely no answer to this.
December 1st, 2007 at 3:44 pm
Gangsta D is correct here, as usual. Also on par is TBL putting a sports story together with a real life story, because they’re a bit slow and dont fully understand real life.
December 1st, 2007 at 3:45 pm
One interesting theory that no one has looked into is who might be looking for revenge against Taylor’s dad, the police chief?
December 1st, 2007 at 6:10 pm
Tell me if Kenny Rogers is overpaid after you see what Kyle Lohse signs for. 8M is a bargain in this market. Wake up, Tibble: A setup guy who had a 6.70 ERA in 2006 and was outright released in 2007 signed for 3 yrs/12M this offseason. See Romero, J.C.
December 1st, 2007 at 9:19 pm
I doubt it, SVPStyle. From viewing their MySpace pages, I would surmise that they were just looking to get paid. Perhaps there was a specific item that they knew he kept in his home – or even in his bedroom – but at the least, one of them either knew him or knew of him, and they figured he wasn’t going to be home. I’d also say that they may have done some other small scale things before (likely the same people who broke in the week before, coming back because they didn’t get what they were looking for), but I agree with the comment above that they had probably never been confronted by a man with a machete, so they got scared and shot him and ran. The first shot missed, which at point blank range sounds like they weren’t expecting to shoot anyone.
These are some pretty young kids. I don’t think they were thinking about much more than trying to get rich quick. This is sad all the way around.
December 1st, 2007 at 11:35 pm
This sounds like a botch job to me. I don’t think it’s fair to blame a dead guy for his own murder when two days ago everything was different than today. There seems to be a trend of athletes’ homes being targeted. It’s happened in Chicago and Houston. And let’s face it, these guys make great targets. Looking for jewelery and cash? Also, there’s a larger trend of burlery in wealthy neighborhoods. Homesites are larger, people are less likely to watch their neighbor’s homes, and there are always vans of workers and stuff going into people’s driveways.
Maybe these guys knew he was home, maybe he they didn’t. Either way, someone probably was talking about how much cash and jewelry Sean Taylor had and it piqued some young criminal’s interest. They left the knife on the bed because their amatuers and they didn’t find anything the first time. Obviously they didn’t get away with it and they didn’t get any loot.
I think they ought to be all charged with capitol murder.
December 1st, 2007 at 11:48 pm
okay…maybe i have too much time on my hands but if you go to the one myspace account that is referenced first…..check out his profile and look at his second top friend. If you click on that picture, it has an unknown redskin background, (possibly sean taylor???) and the date of birth and death of sean taylor….the title of this profile is “rip bro.” is there some connection here???? or have i just seen too much tv. it looks like maybe there is a deeper link than just a random botched burglary to me.
December 2nd, 2007 at 3:34 am
From the myspace pages, it doesn’t look to me like we’re dealing with assassins. It looks like we’re dealing with budding sociopaths. Did y’all see the myspace friend named, “Mama, pray for yo’ baby?” Practically all their male friends names either glamorized money, threatened violence, or demeaned women. Part of me would like to throw most of those guys into Gitmo with the rest of the terrorists like they deserve. Another part of me feels like it is impossible that many sociopaths can occur randomly, therefore we as a society must be doing something to foster this type of behavior.
December 2nd, 2007 at 12:11 pm
He doesn’t call himself Lil’ Pakistan, that’s the title of his “album”.

That centered text is playing tricks on my eyes. Is that a phone-enabled post?
