Was Peter Vecsey Riding Shotgun with Jamaal Tinsley?

Deepest apologies for the childlike nature of our server. It’s being a whiny bitch because all these new people have stopped by unannounced. No worries. We’re taking it outside tonight and smashing the POS with a sledgehammer. Tomorrow will be a glorious day – and not just because we’re going to a midnight showing of I Am Legend!
Remember how Peter Vecsey of the NY Post produced that tremendous (seemingly first person?) account of Jamaal Tinsley’s harrowing Saturday night in dangerous downtown Indianapolis? It had us wondering … uh, just how the hell did Peter Vecsey pull this off? Somebody fax him the police report? After much consternation, here’s who we’ve narrowed it down to: somebody in the Tinsley entourage who was from Brooklyn, Tinsley’s agent (there’s some salary stuff at the end that smells fishy), Larry Bird or CEO/President Donnie Walsh. You’ve got a 25 percent chance here, good luck.
Tinsley was marked man (NY Post)
The photo? Because the internet’s talking about it.

Vecsey always seems to be in the know as far as the Pacers are concerned. I don’t know if him and Walsh, or somebody else in the organizations are buddies, but he seems to get a lot of seemingly ‘first-hand accounts’ regarding Pacers rumors. He’s not always right, but things change after the printing press stops.
I think he was sick of hearing everyone shit on Tinsley for being a victim here, so he offered up a scenario that doesn’t slam him for wanting to go party with some friends after watching a stellar fight.
