Indiana 119, New York 92: And it wasn’t even that close! When we can type “Mike Dunleavy went off” without laughing, you know the opponent has problems. Dude had 22 points in the third quarter and finished with a career-high 36. We maintain the Knicks can make a run, but damn it’s hard to defend after this atrocity. They simply chose not to play defense in the second half. Maybe Isiah called someone a sunt during his tirade after the game! Why be a Knicks fan? A damn fine question, indeed.

Phoenix 100, San Antonio 95: Real nice road win for the Suns, but Tony Parker didn’t play again (ankle). Oddly, neither Nash nor Amare were particularly offensive tonight (the latter did make two clutch free throws in the final minute, but was limited all night due to foul trouble), but old man Grant Hill scored 22 points and Leandro Barbosa added 18. Tim Duncan scored 36 points and collected 17 rebounds. Manu struggled a bit (6-for-19), and was stripped of the ball by Boris Diaw on a key possession with less than 30 seconds to play. Bruce Bowen didn’t score a point in 35 minutes.

Dallas 111, Orlando 108: About time the Mavs get a good win! Dirk had 31 and 11, besting Dwight Howard’s 22-13. Weird shot breakdown: Howard 16, Jameer Nelson 13, Keith Bogans 10. Bogans did hit what appeared to be a game-tying three with less than five seconds left, but his toe was on the line. SVG says defense is the problem, but if we’re coaching, Howard is getting 20 shots a game. Both teams are 17-9 (but the Magic have lost five of six and no longer have the 2nd best record in the East).

Cleveland 104, Milwaukee 99, 2 OT: LeBron played 51 minutes and scored 31 points while only taking 25 shots. Michael Redd played 55 minutes, scored 22 points, had nine assists and seven rebounds. Weird to see the Cavs winning a game in which they shoot 3-for-20 from three, even if they were at home.

Atlanta 116, Utah 111: Nice little upset for the Hawks, a team we wish were on TV more. Without Josh Childress, Acie Law, and Speedy, and even though Carlos Boozer scored 39 points, the Hawks held on at home thanks to 17 points and 14 assists from Anthony Johnson. The Jazz aren’t nearly as strong as they were last year; Utah has dropped six in a row on the road and is just 14-12.
