Good Saturday morning friends. Today marks the (continuation) beginning of a beautiful partnership. Last weekend, Michael Vick’s cousins had the sports blogosphere covered and this weekend, it is I, Patrick Imig. You may recognize the name from my home base at JoeSportsFan.com, where site founder Josh Bacott, web guru Matt Sebek, contributing writer Jason Major and myself bear the fruits of the sports world’s absurdity.Â

I’ll be here all weekend hanging out, so feel free to drop by and hang with me. It is, after all, Divisional Round Weekend and I prefer watching football with friends. The Cousins of Ron Mexico claim they’ll be here today via the comments section, but they’re still passed out in the corner over there, littered in their own puke and urine. Needless to say, we had a house party here at TBL headquarters last night and I met TBL for the first time. He’s different than I envisioned, kind of similar to Nanny from Muppet Babies in that I could never see his face. Oh, and over here we have the healthy looking Donna Feldman. With the exception of having a cliched last name, she’s quite the person.
Send any and all tips/links this weekend to: patrick@joesportsfan.com. And if you wouldn’t mind, give a little “TBL” at the beginning of the subject header. I’d hate to be deluged with link emails and mix them up with the 3 JoeSportsFan emails I’ll receive this weekend.
[by the way, we're having a few technical difficulties with some your usual morning photos. we're working on it...]
The once player-coach relationship between Ozzie Newsome and Marty Schottenheimer might land the Ravens a new head coach. [Carroll County Times]
Antonio Gates isn’t the only Antonio on the Chargers with some health issues heading into tomorrow’s divisional game with the Colts. This could be crucial. [San Diego Tribune]
American Gladiators was 12 million viewers strong last weekend. Can they sustain it? Before jumping the gun, I’d like to remind everyone that the XFL drew huge numbers in their first week and we all remember how that turned out (some of us remember). [NY Times]ÂÂ
Danica Patrick has been offered a slot on Dancing with the Stars. Has her career been that bad? [Sports by Brooks]
Bob Huggins might have a sweating problem. [The Sports Hernia]
Episode 1 of Bizarro-World Lost, featuring Jackie Christie, Tom Brady and Bob Ley among many others. Okay, I made up the Bob Ley part. [Ghosts of Wayne Fontes]
A comprehensive (and very informative) list of the greatest individual seasons of the “old school era“. [Cold Hard Football Facts]
Yesterday it was reported that Pete Carroll and the Falcons were still in talks. Jay Glazer thinks Carroll would be making a mistake if he went to Atlanta, or anywhere else in the NFL. [Foxsports.com]
Terry Bradshaw does not approve of Tony Romo’s bye week recreational life. Incidentally, the American public does not approve of Terry Bradshaw’s skullet. Ps: take note of how many times TB uses the word “I” in his quotes. [Fort Worth Star Telegram]
Update: Former NBA star Glen Rice was arrested Friday. Don’t know how I originally overlooked it. [AOL Fanhouse]

Interestingly enough the entire Butler basketball team was at the party last night, but no one paid any attention to them…

I know my Bulldogs were not partying last night. When I went there the players were never allowed over. To be honest, they never even had hot girlfriends. This is when we lost to Florida (they won it all, no, not last year).

I had the privledge of watching Jim Brown in person and on TV many times. He was truly a spectacular player. One series that I’ll never forget was against the Eagles in Franklin Field. He took a screen pass to the left about 55 yards for a TD. It was called back for holding, so they called the same play with the same result next. Plum may have been the QB in that game.

Donna Feldman might be able to cure my hangover

@h8r – it’s another way of saying she’s tied up in the basement.

Corey Feldman was what I was speaking of. Just one of those 80s names who gets thrown around to the point that it’s no longer funny.

That’s some weekend-blogger-level word usage.
But a great find. Never heard of her before.
